A good idea but it's only going to work for the collegiate teams. The professional teams are already down the road to ridding themselves of number of years to compete. Next will be eligibility requirements.

I feel the five eligibility, age based, to play five. is a good step. they need to be careful about when the five starts and what interruptions are allowed, like missions, military service, and so on. It is more complex than face value. They also need to address the contracting situation, and set guidelines for length and buyouts.
