Preseason 4-1 would have exceeded most Griz fans expectation
Now at #14 the Griz are inching towards a top ten team, top five is a long way away, however it is in sight. For the fans that projected 8-2 or 9-1 going into the second half of the season this is becoming a realistic expectation.
After reading the post game CP article on last week’s game, it sure feels better being a fan of a team that had almost half as many offensive snaps and played solid, rather than being a fan of a team running close to 100 snaps and mistakes cost them the win. It’s far better being a fan of a team getting results rather than being disappointed and hopeful.

We still have 3 very challenging games left. I really want us to be 9-2 at the end of regular season but I just don't know. UC Davis is a tough game and we are lucky its at home. UND is a tough game on the road and even though I think it's clear MSU is not quite playing to the Griz level right now...the year is young and the brawl is hard to predict. I will be ecstatic if we only lose 1 of those 3 games. Lastly that SUU game on the road, could be a trap. We are gonna see in this back half of the season...is this like the old Bobby teams or is it just like the last 10 or so years. We have gotten used to "dropping one or two or three that we shouldn't". I know BH commented on that exact thing before to this team and to the media. It will be interesting to see if we can shut out the noise and perform. We should be favored in every game we have left.

All games are a tough match up anymore. Now the coaches are facing familiar programs and the Griz have the unknown factor with the revamped offense and defense.
The CP article mentioned the quote about there is a slim difference in a team winning and losing. Even PSU has good players, are picking up big chunk plays in the air, but can't win games. They have the potential to come in and make their season at our expense.
The MSU vs EWU game, MSU started great and then the fear factor hit and they started pissing down their leg with knee jerk decisions. "Fear the Bear" UM once had, now EWU and Weber have.
Part of the progress of the Griz this year is the reestablishment of dominance.
