Prognosticators and experts

I’ve followed that Stan Bectons trash all year on social media. He’s wrong more often than he’s right. So we got that going for us.

I'm a big believer in the revenge factor and it being hard to beat a team twice in a season in college football.

  • Furman only won @Chattanooga 17-14 the first time (granted @Chattanooga but not like homefield is a huge advantage in either case)
  • USD only beat UND 14-10 @home (but UND did squander plenty of opportunities/gifts first time...would they get same opps?)

Therefore, I think both UND and Chatty win their rematches. MSU didn't look great this past weekend but are a different animal at home. I think they beat NDSU out in the elements. Cats would host UND, which again would be a huge factor in getting the home win. That sets up a Brawl Or Whatever 2.0 in the semis, which makes me a little nervous just because everything went as well as possible for the Griz this past weekend. I still like the Griz in that matchup but it will likely be a lot tighter game. And if it's tight late does that give Cats some extra MO?

I know the Cats are tough at home but I'm making the prediction that they get knocked off. Both Montana and Idaho demonstrated exactly how to beat them and trust me the other teams will be looking at the film.

Understated here. We owe UI a huge dose of thanks.

Bravo  I was just coming here to say that. Eck wrote the book on how to beat these guys. Go back and watch that game, Griz used the same damn strategy and it worked to perfection. Defensively the Griz obviously did some different things, but offensively, that was a page torn straight out of the strategic mind of Eck. Credit pease and the rest of the coaching staff for both realizing that, as well as getting the players to execute the plan, and arguably execute it better than Idaho. So yes, thanks coach Eck!

Watching the game on TV, I feel like the first 2 (or three?) times MSU ran Tommy to the edge with similar plays the Griz had trouble defending last year and then watching the defense shut it down, I thought of the "Uh Ohhhhh, Happy learned how to putt!" scene from Happy Gilmore.
