anyone know when/if the griz are going to have their pro day workouts, or who might participate? at one point i was sure we'd see akem at the next level, but now i'm not so sure. others had mentioned that lewis might have the ability to be a pro, but like akem, he didn't stand out as much last season as i thought he would. not trying to say these guys weren't very good, they were, but i don't know about 'nfl good'. would be interesting to see how they do on the griz pro day (assuming they have one).

Do you know if anyone from last years team received any invites to participate with any NFL teams? Usually the Griz have at least one get an invite, two years ago it was Dante Olson...I haven't heard of anyone.....

haven't seen anything. i think those tryouts occur after the draft, which is.. april 28th - 30th (i just looked it up). greenie or dayday sometimes know stuff like that, but i don't know if they'd put it on the board.

this site lists a lot of pro days. some pretty small schools having them, but i don't see u.m. on the list. weber state is there, though...

edit - this one from the nfl has montana state on april 4th, didn't see u.m., though. perhaps all interested players in the area will go to the one in bozeman? i think that sort of thing has been done before.

Dylan Cook got invited to a postseason senior-type bowl (don't remember the name but there were pics on social media of him blocking a Wake Forest DE). Conlan Beaver and Jace Lewis had some prospect interest. No inside information but I wouldn't be surprised if Omar Hicks Onu, Gavin Robertson, and Sammy Akem all participate in a pro day. They might not necessarily be "NFL-caliber" but a pro day could still help getting a contract in Canada or another league.

Finally tracked down the tweet about Dylan Cook. He's #77. It was called the College Gridiron Showcase and MSU's Lewis Kidd was also there. Their Twitter page is posting pro day numbers recently for participants of the game.

Akem, Cook, Hicks Onu, Money Macias, OD, Mallory, and Robertson will be participating.

Seven former Montana football players will return to Washington-Grizzly Stadium on Tuesday, April 5, for the team's annual Pro Day hoping to impress professional scouts.

This year, Grizzly prospects Samuel Akem (WR), Dylan Cook (OT), Omar Hicks Onu (CB), Kevin Macias (K), Moses Mallory (OL), Matthew O'Donoghue (LS), and Gavin Robertson (S) return to Missoula to undergo testing

Pro Day Gets underway at roughly 9 a.m. with weigh-ins and measurements before moving to the testing phase for vertical jump, broad jump, and the 225-pound bench press in the Washington-Grizzly Champions Center.

Testing then moves into Washington-Grizzly Stadium (weather pending) for the speed and agility portion of Pro Day starting at roughly 10 a.m. and lasting until approximately 11 a.m.
