I heard Alpha's first 40 time was 2.04.49 but on the second go they put a cooler of ice cold PBR at the finish, 4.87. He is now considered one of the top OG. Who knew...

I never ran over 4.7 in high school, quit spreading lies or I will hire PR to go after you for slaibel.

:coffee:

What does this have to do with high school

I think it is admirable that they let him participate, by the way.

It happens quite a bit, I've seen multiple bobcat players at previous pro days. They also have Frontier conference kids out there.

Their pro day is on April 16th

Kirks and Gales agent is Bill Lower of Missoula.

Gale married into the Lower family. Nice little connection to make.

Saw a comparison of Kirks numbers today vs. Chase Reynolds and Cody's were better in all the drills shown. I was surprised at that.

Honestly, this is why I don't care about these combine or pro day numbers.

Game tape shows it all. Game tape shows Reynolds plays faster than Kirk, is more explosive than Kirk, and is a better RB than Kirk. It's really not even debatable.

Not trying to debate anything. I was surprised that Kirk was anywhere near Chase. It is up to the scouts to determine if Kirk can make it in the NFL or in Canada. According to Colter Nuanez, Cody has been invited to Edmonton for a private workout.

No doubt in my mind Kirk can make a CFL roster and eventually do well. I think of CR was playing in the CFL he'd be an All Pro. Kirk was GREAT for the Bobcats. Reynolds was legendary for the Griz. Big difference. But doesn't diminish how good Kirk was. Also, I'm not surprised that Kirk put up great Pro Day numbers. He, like Jordan Tripp, was built for workouts like that.

I agree havgrizfan. They are built for workouts like that. Your comment on Chase being a legendary Griz and would be an All-Pro in Canada is a parallel to Travis Lulay who was same for the Cats and is an All-Pro and MVP of the CFL. I enjoyed watching both Kirk and Reynolds play. Both are great kids and good role models.

Splitting hairs but we call them All-Canadian up here not All-Pro, and we got rid of our "Pro-bowl" game about 40 years ago. Turns out a lot of pro players don't want to play a meaningless game at the end of the year. LOL

Respect to Cody Kirk for sending out props to the Griz program for welcoming him on pro-day. Any Montana kid who gets a chance in "the show" is a great thing for the state. Don't know how Kirk would do in the CFL, the three downs tends to favour smaller, quicker pass catching backs but that being said some power guys have done well up here.

I read here Kirk is one hell of a man. The person I see on tape however has "stiff" hips. This does not translate well into the next level... :egriz:

Titans, Chiefs, Colts, Seahawks, Texans, Jaguars, Chargers, Raiders, Packers, Broncos and Eskimos. Plus more.

That reminds me. Alex Bienemann ran an impressive 40 and looked pretty agile. Which is probably one reason some scouts started having him run routes and catch passes, I would assume they may be thinking he is a possible fullback prospect based off his speed/agility as well as his experience blocking in the backfield this past season. I didn't see him drop a single ball:

He had a really good day I think, did not drop a single ball in the routes. I think fullback is where he might just find himself. Has been working hard on leaning out a bit and getting faster, weighed in at 271 which is maybe 15 lbs less that his DT weight last season.

Great numbers for a 6'2" 271lb FullBack, that 3 cone is on par with running backs weighing 50lbs less.
32" - Vert
111" - Broad
21 - Bench
4.82 - 40-Yd
4.35 - Pro Agility
7.1 - 3 Cone

Got chuckle out of today's sports page regarding some wondering how the Montana Tech linebacker, who was reported as having done well, was in the Frontier instead of Division 1 level. The usual conceit…maybe he wanted a real degree?
