Pro Day 2025

I wish those 8 former Griz players success tomorrow. All have a shot in the draft in the NFL if things go right on Pro Day. Some may be an UDFA (Undrafted Free Agent) after the draft. 2-3 have a good shot at the CFL as an alternate choice. The remainder have less attractive options.

All will live in Griz lore/history as making significant contributions to Griz FB.

Can confirm directly from the man that Cole Grossman is not participating. He suffered a knee injury against South Dakota State and is still recovering from surgery. We will have a full story about his saga (which is one of a kind) later this month. Sat down with Cole for a few hours yesterday.

We talked some Griz pro day toward the end of this episode this week:

So how would these times/reps compare to players at the Combine? I don't pay enough attention to #s so I'm always interested in where it would've put them in comparison to other players at the Combine.

Bergen would have been 30th at the combine out of 41 with that 40 yard dash time. Ostmo would have been 18th out of 25.

Not a scout but those numbers seem about right for FCS level players. For reference Mariani ran a 4.48. Worth noting that Bergen is faster than Nick Nash at SJSU who led the nation in receiving last year.

The speed, agility, and quickness drills w/out pads makes little sense.

Those pads impact players one way or the other. So many guys that don't test well w/out pads, yet perform well in pads.
