We preview the Griz-Eagles' clash at Dahlberg Arena tonight...

"The biggest boost to a young, yet injury-riddled GRIZ team will be for GRIZ NATION to make all efforts possible fill Dahlberg Arena with a wild and crazy atmosphere. What a better opponent to do just that, than Eastern Washington? Would it not be nice to release some pent up frustration, and disappointment from football? Why not do it against the new king of the Big Sky and FCS football?"

To Dub-Foncy: I'm not all that informed regarding the Griz football program and those 'rumors of injury.' I'll leave that to you and others to debate.

I'm just a long-time Griz basketball fan-addict doing my part to publish in-depth info (stories, photos and opinion) at my blog site. Coverage stories are journalistically and factually accurate. Previews and opinions are always identified as such.

Regarding the preview you mention: I stand behind its positive content and tone. And its accuracy. And its call for the return of the sixth man (Griz fans).

Go Griz!

Good for you, pard. Hell, you might be one of the most prolific bloggers using a team's message board to solicit clicks onto your own address I've run across.

What part of injuries do you not understand Foncy? 1 injury is to our starting SF, 1/5 of our starting line up. The other injury is 1 of our 2 rotational PF/C's. Two of our top 8 rotational players, that is 25% of a team's regular rotation, 16% to 17% of a 12 man roster. That is quite an impact for any roster.

Both guys are out. In my opinion, Cherry is playing with a nagging injury too. Fortunately he is playing through one. Just like Staudacher's injury a few years ago, the team nor Staudacher made it public knowledge during the season. People questioned why his shot was not as consistent as it should have been? During that season, knowledgeable basketball fans thought he was injured, and come season's end we all found out, indeed he was injured with a bad shoulder (if I recall correctly).

Question as you like, I am sure most GRIZ basketball fans are wondering why Cherry has lost some quickness, hops, and changed his game the past few weeks? Compare his games since his arrival here to the last few weeks. He is not playing his normal game. I have coached and played basketball. When a player does as Cherry has for a few games, it usually means that player indeed is limited, and playing through an injury. Cherry is a dynamic defender, and wrecks havoc in the lane. He has not stopped doing those things because he wants to, nor because Tinkle wants him to become perimeter shooter. It is because he is compensating his game because of an injury.

So that makes 3/8's of team's primary rotation, either not playing or playing hurt. Yes it does make a huge difference. Myself and many GRIZ fans will be elated to see Cherry taking the ball to the hole, and skying above guys much taller again.

Grizjournal is working very hard to make a positive impact on GRIZ basketball. The player interviews, video clips, and pictures, are certainly the best coverage GRIZ get from anyone. I appreciate the efforts.

GO GRIZ!!!!

Use the "ignore" feature for foncy and ashley. I'm telling you, it makes life so much sweeter!

Hell, pard, I sure am glad that Mr. Foncy and I can have such an impact on the sweetness of your life. I always knew I'd make a difference in someone's life.

Can you aid in my locating of this ignore function, pard? I have been trying to find it to use on Grizbacker1 because of his blatant posts of personal attacks and sexual offensiveness that, for some reason, are roundly tolerated.

Then you weren't around for Pete doing it for his own site.

No, I apparently was not, pard. It must have been very desperate on Pete's part.
