Pretty decent matchup tomorrow at Haas

I know Bowlesman may be the only one who finds himself interested in this post, but alas, here it is:

Tomorrow, the Golden sons of California will take on the Bulldogs of Mississippi State in what may be a great game (as far as home openers usually go). Berkelely is picked seventh in the preseason Pacific Ten Conference Poll, but we all saw what that means when some Cougars from Washington State were selected to finish last.

It should be an interesting matchup. You going to watch, Bowlesman?

As you know Bizzle, I hate to be the bearer of bad news......but I believe you mean Southern Mississippi. And yes I do think it will be an entertaining battle of one-upsmanship. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend said tug-of-war in person, but I can guarantee you I will be glued to the television screen.

Ahhh. I kneel corrected at the feet of an older, wiser Bowlesman once again. Southern Mississippi will not present the challenge I had anticipated, but will bring with them 50% commonality in nickname. I believe DeVon Hardin will be hungry following last year's setback. Look for him to score many points whilst breaking few rules en route to ringing in another victorious night in Berkeley.

I, too, will leave my television screen only for the grandest of emergencies.

I think you've hit the nail on the proverbial head with this post about our young mister Hardin. He is quite the gamer with as much competitiveness as any young man in all the country. Whereas when I speak of competitiveness I am obviously implying a practical activity whose manifestation can be observed.

This is very true. Oft overlooked is the absolute nature of competitiveness. Many a writer lumps competitiveness in with immeasurable attributes, ie hardiness; will-to-win. Wrongly so, i say. Sir Hardin has all of the above, but we can only accurately compare his competitiveness to that of another. For example: A badger looking for a winter's feast, or the runt of the brood seeking the teat. Only when such comparisons, and subsequent conclusions, can be made and reached can we meaningfully assess the aptitude of young Sir Hardin in the corresponding atrribute.

DeVon HArdin can ball!!!!!!

Ball he can, kind sir, ball he can. I, for one, have the highest of hopes for this young man. I believe that the uncertainty surrounding his comeback directly contributed to my beloved Bears receiving such a low preseason rank within the Pacific Ten Conference. Standing at a daunting 6'11'', and weighing in at roughly 270 pounds, this fellow can effectively displace about as much air atop colored areas on hardwood floors as any one player in the Union. Ball? I think so.

Are you a fellow Golden Bears fan?

My anticipation is extremely hightened sitting here waiting for the battle to begin.

Heightened.

See, this is the type of thing that's unnecessary. We know it was misspelled. There's nothing bball related left to discuss.

If it wasn't you could go to any general grammar/puntuation board. Not going to make a huge fuss about it, great grammar check! Den you still manage to catch people's misspellings, no idea how.

Devon lead us to quite the victory against a formidable opponent last evening Bizzle. I happened to stumble across the recapitulate of the game whilst surfing the world wide web. I inferred that you would be in suspicion as to the outcome:

Thank you kindly, Bowlesman, however I am already abreast to the results. I am especially merry with the exertion put forth by young Sir Hardin. I am aware of the grand uncertainty enveloping his return, and I can now reasonably conclude that such sentiments should be once and for all abandoned. With all of that visited, I found myself somewhat disinchanted with the opponent; if your memory is sharp, you will surely recall that I initially believed the opponent to be one of a higher caliber. Even so, I remain steadfast in my conviction that this squad will finish higher than the Pac-Ten pundits predicted it to in their precious (and rarely precocious) polls.
