My thoughts exactly. You guys lost a ton of talent including your head coach and both coordinators. From an outsiders perspective I say this is about right. Although I'll pick you fourth in the conference behind:

1. MSU
2. EWU
3. PSU
4. Montana.

The Griz don't rebuild, they reload. They'll be back in familiar territory after working out some of the jitters of the off season. They will be competitive for the conference title.

I agree to a certain extent, but I think you've just lost too much. I put PSU above you guys because I like the young talent Burton has brought into Portland. He's had some really nice recruiting classes the past couple years.
 
No love?? I'm not insulted at all. With all that has happened this off season I am looking forward to seeing Mick and the boys show their championship courage and fight through all of the distraction. A chip-on-your shoulder attitude will be great motivation. Lets see what this team is really made of. Bring your hard hats boys....this is going to be one hell of a season! :thumb:

The reality is that last year we finished 3rd? Not to bad...
The delusion is that we will not reload and be a crap ass 17th ranked team. :lol:
Some people don't learn from history...or they just really want the Griz to stop being awesome.........

People wish this year after year...one year, possibly, they'll be right and then they'll be prancing around proclaiming themselves geniuses... :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
I like being this low to start the season again. Last year we steadily moved up. We were #15 when we beat the first #1 and I believe #7 when we beat the second #1. Polls are only an opinion. I believe this year's team will show more enthusiasim than any team has in a long time. I think the FCS world is going to be surprised...one way or another depending on your like and dislike of the Griz. We will again prove our worth in the playoff's!
 
The test of all this will be in the second week when UM squares off against App. State, a team I think is over rated. Could be the game of the FCS year? Hopefully, by the first game with S. Dak. we will know who the QB is....hopefully.

We will know who is our starter at QB before the end of the month. JJ or McKinney.
 
I think the Griz will be higher than that by the end of the season, but I think it's understandable to give that ranking with everything that has happened in the offseason. The one that I really don't get is Georgia Southern. They did have a very good team and have some great running backs coming back, but did the person providing those rankings see the semifinal game? Obviously I am probably biased, but I think NDSU should be ranked above them. Do you guys agree with GSU being ranked above NDSU?

Only if NDU moves to the South or East...the best thing about the playoffs is that the West and Midwest finally get to show who are the best in the FCS...

From what I heard (from a lawyer, not egriz) last Friday don't expect JJ to be around.....

He said it's 100% horseshit but it's what he thinks. And he know's peeps in Missoula who are in the know.....
 
#17 ranking is to make up for all of the Top 3 pre-season rankings that we had during Hauck's era. We all know how some of those seasons turned out! In other words, pre-season rankings mean nothing.

Mark my words McKinney will NOT be the starter. He may be utilized in some sort of way but will not be the starter. GK throws a better ball and is a better athlete than TM. He is not ready plain and simple.
