Predicting next seasons starting rotation

6'8 6'9 6'8 and 6'9 coming off the bench. All can play defense. Whitney is the best perimeter defender in Big Sky and those guys now in the paint. The rest of the roster will have to prove themselves defensively to see the court. Competition makes really good teams. Oh yea those big guys can score too. Travis and his staff have earned A's for the portal additions in terms of what the Griz need. Great job!

If so he will develop an offense, and a team that gets better as the season progresses. He’s a great recruiter but he seems unable to consistently develop that talent. Especially the last few years.

Fortunately, Bannan is a gym rat, like Sayeed and Gregory were. We need more gym rats.

Definitely need an O geared more to front court strength after quite a spell of 3 and 4 guard lineups. Do we have or can TD develop someone to feed the beasts? Parker is a loss in that regard.

Someone asked about who Weber has coming back and who we lost to graduation or the portal.

We lost one starting post player to the professional ranks, mid season, in Cody Carlson.

We lost 3 starters and two bench players to graduation. One of the bench players was a two year starter before surgery hobbled him for his senior year. The other bench graduate got injured his freshman year, never really recovered and graduated with two years of eligibility remaining. He wanted to get his career started.

Our portal entry player was never going to get more than garbage time and is probably graduating with one year left to play. My guess is that he will land at a lower D1 or an upper D11 program. He is big and can shoot a fair percentage from 3.

We have 6 returning players and one early signing. The player we signed early is a 3 star 6'6'' guard who can play 1, 2, or 3. He probably won't play at the point his freshman year, but is good enough to be an impact player right out of the gate.

We return our double, double machine, Dillon Jones, our combo guard, Jawara, our SG starter from the previous year, Porter, our 6'11' center who started several games before Bassett got healthy, Tew, a backup PG, Cunningham, and backup wing G/F, Koehler.

We have 6 openings to fill and I expect an even split between guards and big men. I fully expect there to be one or two freshmen and the rest to be transfers of one sort or another. I don't expect our recruiting to be over until summer.

We have good talent returning, but need more to be a contender for the top. Much is riding on this spring's recruiting class. You never know until you know. :ugeek:
