Pre-game brunch and shuttle

Heading into town with a two other couples for the Weber game. Where's a good place on gameday to eat brunch and watch the morning games then take shuttle to stadium? Thanks in advance.

Press Box right across the foot bridge from stadium with lots of TV's and breakfast. Never been hugely impressed with their food but how hard is breakfast? Paradise Falls across town with shuttle bus to game. Same thing breakfast OK, lots of TV's etc. Quite a few other shuttle buses from bars...not sure how many have "brunch".

I believe the Tamarack does Brunch both Game day Saturday and Sunday's. On front street in front of the carousel.
Lots of TV's and good food! I am not sure of shuttle from there, but there must be something close by.
Go Griz!

Cool. I was thinking Tamarack but I've never been before a game...we always end up there after the games and watch the night games. "Brunch" isn't a big deal, just meant a place with good breakfast. We have Washington season tickets and there's a place that has a game day breakfast buffett that we like to take guests to...hoping Missoula had something similar. When it's just my wife (also a UM alumni) or friends we just eat something at our house in Missoula and head to pregame in the parking lot or pressbox but with other wives coming, we want to show them a good time and cater to them.

What's this BRUNCH shit?
Best of both worlds, you dip (just kidding). :thumb:

Double-bacon, eggs, hash browns and a side of pancakes ... followed by a burger with fries.
Chased with a Bloody Mary or Screwdriver ... followed by a pitcher of beer of your choice.

Works for me (well, it did once upon a time).

Pressbox, Tamarack, and Paradise Falls?? Seriously?? How about Sizzler and Golden Corral while we're at it?! If you don't give a sh*t about food, these are fine establishments to have a beer and watch the game. Let's call a spade a spade here, these are sports bars with adequate, but marginal pub food. If you are looking for a quality brunch, these are absolutely not the spots to go.

Here's a couple suggestions...

1. The Shack - Unarguably one of, if not the best breakfast/brunch spots in Missoula. Fresh squeezed OJ, mimosas, and some of the best hash browns and gravy ever. You won't be disappointed, quality establishment. It's also located on Main right around the corner from Red's, so you can still conveniently catch their shuttle.

2. Finn & Porter - Located at the Double Tree with a view overlooking the river, this is more of a fine dining establishment, but it's not overly fancy or overpriced. You're not going to beat the location, as it's just a short stroll across the bridge to Washington-Griz.

Roger that. :thumb:

They may be "fine dining" the rest of the day, but they know where to butter the bread on a game day morning. (We've gone that route two or three times.) Not too pricey for the buffet and a really good selection. (Or you can order from the menu -- or could, when we went, but no reason to do that). Mimosas if you like, but you could also order drinks from the bar.

Thanks for the recommendation...never thought I'd Finn & Porter for breakfast game day. The guys could done and dash and head to press box for drinks and the Mrs can linger at Finns for a while...works for me!!

Completely disagree regarding the Shack. Used to be the best place in town for breakfast but they've been living on their reputation for years. There are much better places now. Add to that that the op states he wanted a place to watch the early games and that's tough to do at the Shack (or even F&P for that matter)

Describes a certain team I've been following.

The brunch descriptions sound GREAT! Good thing I don't live there. I'd be a fat(ter), full blown alcoholic by now.

I'm with Everett, and it certainly isn't worth the 20-30 minute wait (with a pounding hangover) you usually have to endure on the weekends.
