Potentail ambush game....

your bold confidence in hauck has never been swayed by the facts, so... sure, i'll stay tuned.
Oh, but I very much am swayed. Facts like a 116-34 record at Montana, 67-18 in BSC, 7 consecutive BSC championships, 3 trips to Natty. Those are not just facts, but exceptional facts. In all your deep football knowledge, you sound just like the SDSU "fans" attacking the HC before they won last year.

While your boy, Stitt. is likely selling used cars in CO.

Hauck 1.0: 80-17 ( .824), 47-6 in BSC (.887), 7 seasons, 7 BSC titles, 3 title game appearances
Pflu: 13-7 (.650), 10-4 in BSC (.714), 2 seasons
Delaney: 24-14 (.631), 15-9 in BSC (.625), 3 seasons
Stitt: 21-14 (.600), 14-11 in BSC (.560), 3 seasons
Hauck 2.0: 36-17 (.679), 20-12 in BSC (.625) (5 seasons, counting 2 gift exhibition wins in 2020)

One of these coaching terms isn’t like the other 4.

Bob Stitt’s THIRD year (7-4, 5-3 and a 6th place finish and no playoffs) got him fired, and rightly so. Bobby’s FIFTH year was eerily similar (7-4 regular season, just 4-4 and 6th in BSC but a gifted playoff spot) and yet here he still is.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: any coach not named Hauck would not have been retained for a 6th season, unless middle of the pack, blowout losses to the ‘Scats and early playoff exits are what we aspire to now. This is definitely a “put up or shut up” year for him.

Hauck didn't have to deal with a loss of four scholarships as well. How many quality kids is that at the FCS level as they can split scholarships?

Had Stitt had the same season in his last year as Hauck did last year, Stitt wouldn’t have been fired. No. 33 to no. 14 is a huge difference. And compare Stitt’s losses and close wins to Hauck’s.

Lost to UW, 63-7. Hauck beat UW a few years later. Lost to EWU and Weber. Beat NAU by only 2. Had no good wins, to my recollection. Only EWU, Weber and Davis were top teams. MSU was no. 17. Only 4 BS teams ranked in top 25. I see that UM wasn't even in the top 33 (and didn't get even 1 vote) in the final coaches' poll that year.

This should be a Griz victory. I'll have the 'Pitchforks and Torches' concession in the north end of the tailgate area, should it not be 'The Thrill of Victory' but 'The Agony of Defeat.'

NDSU might have been in the top half of the FCS, no? Or doesn't he get credit for that one?

Getting blown out by NDSU in the playoffs took the shine off that one pretty quickly.

Stitt didn't play NDSU in his last season, when he got fired.
