Post-spring pedestrian thoughts

Don't get your knickers in a twist CDA, poorgriz didn't exfoliate about the Cats being 'scary good', he merely pointed out the secondary looks to be the strongpoint for the D.

Actually I don't even know if the secondary, as good as it is, is the strong point. DL and LB are set as well. Cat D will be damn good again, just like last year. I think the Griz D is going to be good too. These will be the two best defenses in the Big Sky, we'll see who has the best defense between the two, in a few months. :thumb:

Don’t forget the Bobcat OL, WRs, QBs, and RBs. Outside of the special teams (both kicking and returning), which are clearly the best in the FCS, I think the Bobs will have the best preseason offense and defense of any DI team west of the Mississippi. Just completely stacked. I haven’t been able to think of a single Bobcat weakness during the spring and summer for decades. If they could just get rid of those pesky games against other teams, they could be very special.

When was the last time the Bobcats weren't scary good in spring and fall camp? The 70s? I especially like the talk about their QBs. Baumann, Bleskin, Bovig, Bruening, Babble, and whomever else were all going to be the answer. Who are the four future all-pro QBs on the Bobcat roster this year?

I know he didn’t. I did. We’re talking scary good at every single position. With the leadership and unbridled passion of the current staff, I expect to hear really good things from Bozeman this fall camp.

Kind of, but I watched an interview with his parents from their home, before then left for Frisco... and I don't want to start a big thing here but it looked like they lived somewhat out in the sticks. How in God's name can a kid be Butte Tough if he didn't even grow up on the streets of Butte? I mean sure, he can be a good, hard working, humble, bring your lunch pail type kid, from a good family with good roots but Butte Tough? I think all of Bobcat Nation is getting duped here.

Revisiting this, I really cant say with good certainty. I'd say Ford and O'Connell are for sure in it. Beyond that I'd say Callahan O'Reilly. And then... I think Eddie Heckard at Weber or David Hoage at UNC. Going off guys I remembered that stood out to me last year, made an all-conference team, and obviously are expected to be on the active roster for 2022.

We'll see how things shake our this Fall. Yes I might be a bit biased but the secondary for the Bobcats is going to be absolutely loaded to the gills. Remember the names below.

I watched the entire spring game today and I thought your secondary looked like shit with the exception of Dru Polidore. I can’t remember the one cb’s number but the kid repeatedly fell down and got beat bad. There were several times where they got beat deep including multiple wide open TD passes. Yes, Okada didn’t play but I wouldn’t be all that impressed after that performance today. The gray teams secondary was especially bad.
