Post Game: Too many errors cost us this win

Alpha, who said McKinney was better than Jamal Jackson? I haven't seen that. Jackson is a GREAT player and ASU was the better team last night. That seems to be the consensus or were there threads i missed. By the way, I have grown to at least respect your opinions, but if you're going to continue to angry about McKinney being the starter, you're on for a miserable season and I expect I'll see more posts of yours on BN then here. Because, even you KNOW, by now, McKinney ain't goin' anywhere unless he gets hurt. Brez isn't going to see the field any other way. It's pretty obvious by this point.

I felt McKinney's long throws we're all just a little short. Not far off. The flight of the ball was way better than in scrimmages. In most cases our receivers had a chance for the catch. On the poor throws he made they were all off the wrong foot with no follow through caused by being pressured or on the move. However, on the first TD drive he completed the long pass on exactly that type of awkward across the body throw. He is our best QB. I was impressed.

If McKinney could throw a football accurately they wouldnt have had 21 points.............but he cant we lost and you guys need to quit making excuses. The team with the better "starting" QB won.

You might be able to convince me that McKinney made a few bad throws. And you might convince me that Jamal Jackson is a better quarterback. But you'd have a hell of a time convincing me that McKinney isn't the best quarterback on our roster. But go ahead and try. Who's better?
Anyone who is consistently accurate.........

Okay, So Brez may be more accurate, but is quite a bit slower than Mckinney........Where Mckinney is faster and has a less accurate arm. Sounds like they are the same level QB?? The last thing I want in this system is a dual QB attack.

Canada will get it together and be back on kick returns. #5 Naccarato should have never run the ball out and likewise not have seen the field after his fumble. That was a HUGE mistake!

Right on! Pin heads like Playa Rape are blaming the blockers, when the only issue which matters is that Chase should have NEVER tried to run that kick back. PERIOD!

One is a QB the other is a RB............I wont argue that.

From today's Missoulian. A quote from coach Delaney.

"But there again. That's not all Chase. Everyone didn't do their one-eleventh, obviously. There was a guy free--in fact, there were two guys free. And they hit him right on the ball."

Hum, if G1 saying coach Delaney doesn't know what he's talking about?

Grizmayor: So TM will not get any better this year or next? Sounds like he should be benched and they put your momma into play.

ERRORS, Like in four turnovers. Period!

Our team will become so much better. U can count on that. I have said from day one that after game four we will see a much better team than the team we have watched the first two games. We are way better this year now than we were last year.

THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME PUSILLANIMOUS THOUGHTS ON THE ENTIRE SITUATION.
Trent is a damn good QB. He is getting better each game. He is cool, accurate and fast.
Ty Holmes is a player that will be a stud around Griz football for 4 years!
Moore? What can you say? He is good getting better.
Lider? Made a dumb frosh mistake, will get better no doubt.
O Line? All were great. Will improve but they are very good right now.
D Line is in my opinion the best and deepest we have had in recent years.
Naccarrato made a bad freshman mistake, he will be a great player, needs a few games.
C. Backs were so so and got beat. They are young and will improve greatly.
Safety play was marginal and needs to pick up. Some reasons stated in another thread. They will improve.
L Backers are doing a great job. Not perfect but damn good.
Special teams need to improve a great deal. Every aspect needs to improve!
Coaching is very good. Best we have had for a long time.
Four turnovers caused the loss, team played well, came from behind against a great team.
The important thing to remember is we have young guns playing and we will have these growing pains, simple as that. After the Northern Az. game I will remind you how damn good this young team has become. Yes, that's right before we smash a good Eastern Wa. at the red house.

Both personal foul calls against JP were BS.

McKinney needs to air the ball out and let his receivers run underneath them. He continually underthrew the long ball tonight, allowing the App State defenders to make plays on the ball.

Can we put to rest any question about Saylor's hands?

Comparing Nacarrato's fumble to those by PN is comical. PN fumbles without being TOUCHED. Nacarrato got absolutely decleated. 99% of returners in football would have fumbled that ball there.

I absolutely despised the 3-man front when App State was in 3rd and long. They did it repeatedly and I don't think it EVER worked.

Giving up the first down on 3rd and 16 absolutely killed us.

I completely disagree about Dan Moore and the helmet breaking. He's a passionate leader and I'm fine with that action. Lider needs to be making adjustments on the sidelines....the shank was only a matter of time given how the first three looked. Seriously, how difficult IS that?

If Harris is out for an extended period (God, i hope not), Tyrone Holmes will be the BSC Freshman of the Year. That dude is an absolute beast.

i would add these posts:
Looks like we're back to a Paulson defense...wish Ty would've followed Breske's lead, but doesnt' look like it. (will add: hope that the soft coverage wont return like under Paulson)
Hope to see Canada and Kemp out there soon we really could have used em today.

i would also add these thoughts:
TM scrambled way more than his opponent..........olines were not comparable....one was more porous...they looked at times like they were not prepared well, confused or just executed bad judgement

thought Wagemann and Bienemann played very well

:o just now watching recording... 1st qtr. 9:39 sec. App 4th & inches and app. false start, but no call  Error caused be ref and leads to App. first TD :? Not a RS QB or Freshman return fumble mistake there :x Refs Sucked honestly. Honestly!!! refs beat the Griz :( Said showcase of refs.

Stupid comment. When you get hit like that, it's not a "mistake" when you fumble. There wasn't a harder hit the entire game.
Stupid response. Running out from 5 yards deep against a fast team was the mistake.

That ASU player wouldn't have seperated the ball from Moore or Kemp for example in my opinion.
An MSU defender had no problem separating the ball from Kemp at a critical time in the red zone in the '10 game. But he probably would have been smart enough to not run that one out.

ok... 14 - 7 TD App walks in for TD... Didn't see no RS freshman QB mistake there, just watched a bunch of white jerseys walking and watching S. Miller trot in for a 10 yrd. TD... Sad... I say make the D run run run this week. Again no RS freshman mistake there. App. St. (refs) 14 - TMac (60 yrd on run pass) 7... Sad to see that big shot!!! yup he should have not ran that ball out of the endzone, that was not RS freshman QB there...

That is truly comforting. His only KO retun of the year, he managed to kick out of bounds at the one. His thinking is no better than Naccarato's.

Get my point!?! Tmac is playing awesome. Damn refs and that one knuckle head decision to run out the end zone did it for the Griz...

I believe I heard or read a quote from Ellis Henderson Frosh WR that he was working on returns in practice, so maybe he'll get a shot to show us something.
