Post Game Thoughts

That was an absolute showcase of a college football game that did this entire region of the country proud. Congratulations to both teams and the good guys pulled off the miracle upset. I still recall the words of the announcer of the UCLA Griz basketball game back in the early 1970s: "A David and Goliath Classic!"

I hate to give another FCS school that much credit, but they have knocked off Kansas State and Iowa State, so Montana really made a statement to the rest of the country. Now I just hope they remain classy winners and that this is just a small taste and they want more.

I really would like to see more match ups between the Dakota schools and the Big Sky. They obviously produce a high quality television broadcast that makes a statement about this region of the country that the rest of it needs to see.

Thoughts of Jim O'Day were very much on my mind yesterday.

It is crazy to me to think about that in the end, the Griz executed all 3 field goals (+ a 2pt conversion), and NDSU missed their only field goal attempt...and we won...by 3. Kudos to the much maligned field goal unit!

Atlanta needs to eat a dump truck full of cold raw crow! It is simply a bust in his judgement to lower NDSU's status. They are a damn good team and still are close to #1 in the country after the loss. This AM I posted a why we might beat the team today. In Atlanta's usual bull tirade against me for the post I made he was and is so sure of his rants he always misses the points.

We practiced against ourselves and some idiots tend to gleen all their ideas from that alone. They don't look under the covers and Atlanta is and was mistaken as were many Griz fans. We had surprise on our side plus some damn good football players.

I picked us to win by a few points and many laughed. Many msu'ers are jumping on us in a jealous rage but it feels so good to win.....Who gives a stitt!

Guess that double dose of Geritol worked, eh Mista? :coffee:

AtlG1 has been wrong in virtually every thing he's said about UM football in the past month or so. His non-sugar coater view was that basically everything about the team sucks. O-line (they were good today). Center snaps (they were fine today). QB can't throw. Receivers can't catch (a couple early drops and then a bunch of great catches). Running backs can't run. Returners drop everything. Kickers can't make FG's. Gregorak can't coach. Safeties can't tackle. D-line is thin and small and will get run over. What a total idiot. A weak excuse for a human being too.

Front running ambulance-chaser spews lies once again. Virtually everything you alleged that I posted is a lie. The ONLY valid things which I said were:

1) The O-line is weak, and we have no depth at this position. I stand behind that statement. While they played much better against NDSU that I thought they would, they are still the smallest, weakest line we have had at UM in 20 years. Dispute it if you want, sugar-coater, but it is still reality. and, when the inevitable happens during season, and one or two of the starters goes down with an injury, you will see how little depth we have on the O-line.

2) Center snaps were NOT GOOD on Saturday. Gus saved at least 10 errant snaps which were mostly too lateral, or too high to where they should have been. They also are not crisp enough and float too much. The NDSU center was a great snapper, in comparison, and I am quite sure anyone who knows football, and does not have an ass-kissing agenda like you, saw the difference on Saturday.

3) Receivers are still dropping too many passes. Funny, while you dispute that catching the ball is a continuing issue, Stitt has said that publicly several times lately. You are just too stupid to understand it.

4) Special teams play is still a huge problem. Yes, we made three FGs on Saturday. but can we do it next week? The KO coverage is pathetic, at best. NDSU came within one tackler of breaking three different KOs for a TD, and I predict we will give up more than one KO TD this season. We need to put more starters on the KO team to correct the problem.

The rest of your post is total lies in your weak and pathetic effort to discredit me. It is YOU who are delusional about people liking you around town. People who you think like you actually think you are a total jock-sniffing idiot. Oh, by the way, happy birthday to you wife. What she ever saw in you is beyond belief.

No one has to try to discredit you, because you do a great job of discrediting yourself.

Huh, happy birthday to my wife, in 6 months?

You have to lie in a feeble attempt to discredit me. But any knowledgeable football fan sees right through your weak-assed agenda. You tried real hard to keep Stitt from being hired, and now are scrambling to get on his good side now that he is here. But he is not stupid, and his memory is very good.

Like I said, no one has to discredit you, because you do it yourself. Any knowledgeable football fans knows that you rarely know what you're talking about, and that you have almost zero connections to the program. Oh, and II didn't try to keep Stitt from being hired. In fact, I was providing information to him indirectly starting about 3 weeks before he was hired. I didn't contact anyone at the athletic dept or university about prospective coaches, and I said almost nothing on the internet until after the decision was announced. I just sat back and watched (and kept my mouth shut).

Not sure your mouth is ever shut playerrep. You spout lots of opinions that you state as fact, lots of bravado and personal attacks against those who don't share your opinions. You were a Hauk supporter, but now the tide has swung towards Stitt after this great win, and you are a source to him to come to Montana???

Enjoy the win, it was a great one, and leave the personal attacks alone...it makes you look like you never played the game!

Hard to believe that two years ago yesterday NDSU beat K-State.

Thinking that Hauck would or should have been hired is not the same has (and has nothing to do with) "trying to keep Stitt from being hired". Again, I didn't weigh in on the coach hire subject with anyone at the athletic department or university, nor did I say much on the internet (in part because I knew information from me was being provided to Stitt). I have said nothing negative about Stitt ever, only positive things. As anything resembling them, they are directed at some of the idiots, like yourself, not at people who disagree with me. I couldn't care less about whether anyone agrees or disagrees with me. I am confident in my views on football and Griz football.

You know, the rest of us lost interest in your opinions many years ago. Your silence would be a blessing.

I know it's not the case, but I still think it would be funny if ATL and PR were really good friends. ATL talks to PR pretty much the exact same way I talk to my best friend.
