100%. There was a pass to a wide open receiver during the storm that went to the corner and, from where we were sitting, you could see the ball get carried by the gust and it landed well away from our receiver. It was pretty crazy.
The pass Fife attempted in the wind to the north east side of the field was crazy the way it flew way off course. I mean not 5 yards but like 20 yards to the right. It's been mentioned we didn't attempt a pass with Tommy the whole 2nd half and that pass was probably a huge reason why.
The two points you made Brint that we talked about all game were (1) Eli not hitting holes, and (2) the GRIZ not even looking to throw the ball downfield.
Seemingly Eli has been tentative all year, but it was markedly noticeable Saturday. There were a handful of plays where he clearly had a sizable hole at the point of attack, but he chose to bounce step it outside and run parallel to the LOS. Just so obviously different than the way he ran last year.
And I understand the wind was tough in the second half, but I'm not sure the GRIZ had more than 3 passes five yards or more downfield. Tough to win in today's game doing that, unless you have a really dominant OLine.
