Anyone notice the players didn't seem quite as excited about the win today at the end of the game? Could be wrong. Could be because the crowd wasn't it's usual self either.

Consideration #1: Typical homecoming crowd-Started good/loud, but out of town folks that don't know how to cheer for an entire game can lose steam/voice.
Consideration #2: We scored fast-first two drives and then there wasn't much to cheer about for the next 40 minutes, thus the crowd got taken out of the game.
Consideration #3: combination of above

Center snaps are a significant issue. Not only does it contribute to increased pressure on pass plays, but it is also messing up the timing on running plays. There are plays were the rb has to hesitate while he waits for the qb to get the snap. The slow, inaccurate, floating snaps also make it difficult to put the sweep guy in motion. Several of Stitts plays are runoff of the sweep motion. I don't understand why this can't be fixed with practice. It's inexcusable at this level.

But, dang it, he did OK in his first Griz game....Sprunk has some great Missoula Roots and in all actuality did far better than anyone should have expected

Not too mention Sprunk came to UM two years ago at maybe 230lbs...

Good for coach to try some new things with the OL as the line hasn't been effective. Also, kudos for using additional running backs because our running game has needed a shot in the arm.

But, dang it, he did OK in his first Griz game....Sprunk has some great Missoula Roots and in all actuality did far better than anyone should have expected

I can't believe at this level you do not have a true offensive lineman ready to fill in....even if a true freshman

Todd played well and probably solidified starting role. I gree with mtgriz, JN made the right call not fielding the one line drive punt--would have been a disaster to attempt it.

Most of the time people were just sitting down and watching quietly. Thankfully, the result on the field was a good one! Go Griz!

Good thing the wave died. Don't start the wave while the GRIZ are on offense!!! Hell don't do it during the flow of the game. The wave works during a tv break. It is stupid to try the wave when we are on offense.

why is that?

I've never been 100% certain why, but AZ is correct: it usually is the least active crowd all year. Maybe it's that tickets are given to returning alumni/reunion classes who don't normally attend games and just are not as into it. But it's consistent every year.

I've never been 100% certain why, but AZ is correct: it usually is the least active crowd all year. Maybe it's that tickets are given to returning alumni/reunion classes who don't normally attend games and just are not as into it. But it's consistent every year.
