Do you have any particular basis for making that statement? Do you have any specifics to back up your statement?

660 specific reasons..... :coffee:

The results of Ty's coordinating a pathetic pass defense. At this stage of a season, there is no excuse for the pass defense to not have improved. Are their other issues too? There sure is, but the lack of a pass defense, due to very bad strategy, lack of adjustments, and lack of personnel adjustments, are the main reasons why the GRIZ are where they are at this year. I think the results speak for themselves.

I can only speak for myself, it would be easier to have empathy for Ty, if we were seeing adjustments with personnel and strategy, but there is not any!!!!! It is the same thing every week. Show us some shake ups and experimenting to figure this out, and maybe the criticism will die down some. Right now, in my opinion, TG naysayers certainly have legitimate reasons to be hard on him. He has earned the criticism, every bit as much as he earned the praise to get the DC position. It works both ways.

You are welcome to your opinion, but me thinks you don't know what you're talking about on this subject. You don't attend the games in person. You can't see the pass defense on tv, only the results. You don't talk to the coaches.
Thats funny because yesterday you were watching TV and commenting out your ass about the defense and the safeties. Proving again you are a clueless douchebag dick rider.

Make up your mind which side you are on Mr Kerry...........

Actually, I think I made about one or two comments on the safeties, or maybe one safety. And you lied about being at the game, I assume.

This might remind folks of 85 but in 86 we scrapped the option attack for a wide open, fun, passing attack that seemed to work well for a couple decades. Did I mention it was fun?

With the results we have seen on the field, I am happy I am not talking to coaches or kissing their asses. Gregorak's pass defense has been pathetic all season, and needs to be held accountable. Maybe those who have been there every game, can enlighten GRIZ fans who are not there. What are the adjustments in strategy, and personnel he has made to attempt to make pass defense better? Why has pass defense been a problem all season, and not improving? Based on observation, our pass defense, led by Gregorak, looks clueless.

At the very least, if your pass defense is going to be bad, let your young players develop more!! Meaning play more press coverage, and take off the damn training wheels, and quit covering up for them. Why not try putting some faith in them? Because what you have been doing with your secondary, sure in the hell is not working!!!! Our playoff hopes are lost. It is time to start strengthening this team, and his pass defense for 2013. Seriously, there is now no excuses or reasons for not experimenting!! The pressure of making the playoffs is now off.

As for me, If I do not see some changes attempted, in both strategy and personnel, I will continue to think he is in over his head as DC. Right now, it is looking like many of us were wrong about him being the man at DC. Believe me, I hope he figures this out, and he shows why he was chosen as DC, and can have a future to progress his career. Right now, it looks like Ty's future is not very bright as for being a top level DC, or head man. It makes no sense to not coach to your personality. He is fiery, competitive, and aggressive by nature. Why in the hell is his pass defense timid, passive, and getting it's ass kicked every game?

The ND performance is not why I am being hard on him. It is the crappy performance all year, and no improvements. Right now, I have lost faith in the product on the field. As are many fans.

While it wasn't pretty there were a few changes in the secondary to consider...
Quite a few times there was some press coverage on the WR's..... Probably more press this game than all others combined....
#1 Goodwin played a shit ton more this game...
Honestly..... Our corners did pretty well considering their youth..... Our safety play suffered terribly and Hermanson bit almost every time on the play-action... He overcommitted to the run and was burned severely for it..
Really don't know if it's coaching, watching film, or youthful inexperience.....? Probably a little of all three... Yet if you noticed in the 3rd qtr. the safeties adjusted and played a little more over the top and until the end where I believe they just tired out....... they actually hung in there.
If our offense puts together just a couple more good drives in the 4th our D stays strong to the end..

It sucks to lose.... But let's face it...... Our DB's... up against some very big receivers were just overmatched...... Reminded me a little of 1996 and this guy named Randy Moss...

And some of us will continue to believe you don't know what you're talking about on this subject. Looks like Albino has a clue, tho.

Not to mention the fact that once the weekly awards come out, UND will no doubt have the BSC offensive player of the week. That would be 3 ( I believe) out of 8 games that the offensive player of the week won it after playing against our defense.

From this thread I take it that all of you think we are not playing very well. Also I noted many that dislike the coaching.

My thoughts? After the last game I can't sober up to think a thought.

Season is shot. So, Lets put #6 in at QB for a few plays and see if he is a gamer. By all accounts he can pass better than Trent. He does well in practice. Find out. Try some new young guys at safety. Teams pass on us so try an extra speedy corner, why not?

Please coach, do not call a time out and then punt the ball! Pure waste of a time out. Shows us how over your head .....oops .....well it is High School stuff... we do it before a field goal try and even dumber is a punt call? Our special teams kick-off returns are bad to the bone. Bad.

Enough said now back to my drinking.

Montana is 14th in FCS for total offense. Gripe about it all you want, but that should be enough to win some games and at least have a winning record. It should also not be difficult to improve.

The Griz defense on the other hand ranks 85th in FCS for total defense. That's going to cost you a lot of games and is not easily corrected.

At this point in the season with the post season gone we should let everyone get some time on the field. I agree, let SSH play the rest of the season unless he gets hurt, we need a spark and Trent is just not getting it done, although I think he will be a great QB with a little more time under his belt.
I only hope we have a coaching change after the season because year two under this staff won't be much better. Burn redshirts that then don't see playtime, and the only half time adjustments are to move their johnson from one side to the other.
