Post game presser?

I'm told that the QB's don't even focus on which center is in the game. Doesn't the ball come from the same spot and come through the legs? My view is that some of you are lost in the past, when the QB was under center. Whether the ball is from a left or right handed center, the ball is suppose to come to the QB in roughly the same area. Should teams not change QB's either, as it might throw off the center? The QB's have more important things to do. Have there been any issues between the center and the QB this season?

Can you tell whether I am typing right handed or left handed? Perhaps this is what throws some of you off, and triggers some. Ha.
Good one Hoops I agree with you.

While this episode didn’t turn into anything, some folks maybe have a little PTSD about a darker time. Sometimes little things can get away from you and turn an upward trend on its head. A simple comment from Pflugrad, expressing support for his star QB, completely derailed the program. I think there’s a bit of right and wrong on both sides of this debate; and why we’re on page 8.

As a former quarterback, it definitely threw me off when I had a different center come in. They had a different way of delivering the ball to my hands. But I was mostly under center, so the difference in their stances and delivery would make me have to adjust where I needed to put my hands. But I assume if you get enough reps with both of them you'd get used to it and wouldn't be too big of a big factor.
Did you ever get used to having your hands so close to another man's junk? I just couldn't get past it if I was to play QB.

Frank deserved to be told off. It is a stupid question and thats all Frank ever asks. Idk how he has a job tbh

Also I'd rather have 2 centers that can be relied on and are proven just in case 1 goes down. It's never bad to have players getting game time experience. Rotate everyone if you have the talent imo

I got to cut Hauck slack on this because
1) he just went thru a hell of a stressful game, late at night and probably very tired.
2) I would not have answered the question either
3)Frank does not pull many punches when he writes his pieces and I am sure Bobby is not real pleased with that type of reporting
4)How Bobby or anyone else runs the team is not our business. We can bitch all we want but in the end it's his job and he can deal with it as he wants. He is not going anywhere unless he decides to do so. Fans need to suck it up and move on because bitching is not going to matter at the end of the day.

Pushing this thread towards 20 pages…

I agree with Da Mom. Bobby could, and should, handle any and all press questions better. That isn’t his nature but it’s a fact he’s representing the Univ. Buck up and dismiss annoying or stupid questions. Getting pissed over nothing isn’t a good look.

That said, there could be multiple valid reasons he doesn’t want to advertise why they rotate centers. Perhaps one is dealing with an injury they don’t want widely known. Perhaps they are still deciding which is the best fit on our sometimes suspect line, and who the hell can contain their D Tackle who’s eating our lunch! Perhaps they feature one on predominant running plays and the other on passing plays and don’t want it exposed. There could be a fundamental reason for the switch which he really does not want known.

Bobby when you read this, which I know you will, lighten up buttercup. Frank when you read this, which I know you will, shut the f up about minutiae nobody cares about and emphasize how positive a tremendous 13 point late game comeback is. EGriz fans when you read this, which I know you will, take this pedestrian thread and turn it into an epic 20 pages of mind numbing babble. I know we can count on you!

Show your evidence that they never used it. My quick googles indicated they used it. Do you need how to do your research.

"Current situation

  • Starters: Kilian O'Connor was named the starting center, but J'Onre Reed, a transfer from Syracuse, has already been playing significant snaps and replaced him in at least one game."
From Gemini AI: "Yes, based on the depth chart and reports, USC football has been using a rotation or at least two centers this season.
  • Kilian O'Connor was named the starting center.

  • J'Onre Reed is listed as the backup on the official depth chart and the coaching staff indicated he would still "factor into the rotation" and get some playing time."
Yeah, J’Onre Reed has played significant snaps because USC won its opener by 60 and its next game by 39. He then played more than two quarters against Illinois because Kilian O’Connor was injured. I’ve watched every USC game twice this year. I read an article every week that details player snap counts. I listen to multiple USC football podcasts every week. The center position has been a point of discussion because Reed transferred in and was considered the front runner to take over the starting spot. But during fall camp, he lost it to O’Connor, a former walk who had started 1 game in his previous two years. O’Connor started every game this season until he was injured early in the loss to Illinois. Despite coaches saying they might use it, there was no center rotation at USC. You ask about my research, there it is. What’s your? A couple lazy AI searches because you don’t know shit about what’s taken place with the center rotation at USC. You’re only using it falsely as an example because you’re desperately searching for anything you can find to defend Bobby’s rotation of his centers instead of just agreeing that it’s unorthodox.

To quote you “do you need how to do your research.”

Think how good the press conference questions could be if local reporters spent as much time on the Griz as Kyle does USC.
