You do need to go. It is a cute little town, good restaurants and great scenery. We combined it with a beautiful drive over the Beartooth highway.

The Beartooth highway alone is worth the drive. It always blew my mind how much snow was up there still even in the middle of summer.

It’s always breathtaking and if you’re up for adventure, hiking or backpacking some of the trails up and around the Hell Roaring Plateau rivals some of the vistas in Glacier.

Well, the summit is nearly 11,000 ft. The Beartooths are THE MT mountain range. I have a perfect view of Granite Peak from my office.

Glacier National Park = the best

Glacier is fabulous. Absolutely love the entire park. However the Beartooth and Absaroka Mountain Ranges are equal contenders for Montana’s best.

Starting from east to west; Some of the highlights are driving over Beartooth Pass, or driving up the valley to east Rosebud Lake, or driving up the valley along the Boulder River, or the Paradise Valley. When you enjoy those sights it is impossible to say any of those areas are eclipsed by Glacier.
