Post Game: Is JJ back?

Actually, I think the refs got it right. I didn't know what the hubbub was all about at the time until I went back and watched the tape. The TV dude was the one that screwed up and can't count to 5. Two, five yard gains = 10 yards. It was close but it certainly was not a yard off. Nevertheless, the refs were very reluctant to give measurements (on at least two occasions) for some weird reason.

so when they said it was 4th and 6 it was actually 4th and 5?

I don't know about TV, but at the stadium it was 3rd and 12, and they announced a gain of 6 yards, brings up 4th and 6 on the pa - this is why many of us were confused how they got a first down from a 5 yard penalty. Even if it was a "long" 5 yards for the first down (between 5 and 6 yards) they should not have gotten the first down.

I agree there was some confusion on the TV/scoreboard but the sticks don't lie. It was 4th and 5. Pause the TV and count it yourself. That's what I had to do. The d-bag announcer tried to do that but he simply can't count.

They had to call the running into the punter, you can't let something like that go, they hit him both times.

But they shouldn't have picked up the first down when it was 4th and 6. They should have replayed the down making it 4th and 1

The refs made an error giving them the first down for that..

Classic BSC ref mistake.

Morons.

Cut 'em some slack. It's not so easy when you're trying to add and subtract on your fingers when you're in front of a crowd.
