Post Game: Good win, need some work

A few words from me on Saturday's game for what it's worth. Just got home to the computer.

Running backs -----awesome. Throw in our line on that as well.
Trent Mckinney is a stud. Very impressed and not at all what I expected from reading on this board this summer.
Punting game big plus
Haynes is being overlooked for his work down field blocking. Looks like the griz receivers of old. Maybe he was lined up on my side more but way to go.

Please let someone field punts. I didn't enjoy any punt Saturday knowing anything could happen.

Coaching staff did great.

Pretty grumpy about the fans leaving with 4 minuntes left in the half when our D could have used everyone. Also the 10 minute mark of the 3rd quarter before everyone got there arses in the stadium. REALLY????

Also the Bobcat fan dressed in full blue and gold loving life during that time. It was funny as he left at about the 8 minute mark of the 4th with his family. I think those people are just in the habit of not staying to the end.

All in all I'm jacked about this season. Kanongata is a beast and plays all over the field. He's a player.

Season tix worth getting. Be there all season. Go Griz

A continuing trend I heard when chatting with people after the game, it was a good win but this team needs to keep getting better. Props to USD for fighting hard and I think that team could surprise a few people this year, their LB #11 is a physical guy but faded late. Their OL protects the edge better than I thought they would too, for being a young team they stayed pretty focused through the game. They just couldn't keep up and with the hurry-up and physical nature of the Griz O-line the 'Yotes were ground to a pulp.

Gone for the weekend and couldn't watch or hear game  So, I'm judging from video highlights and what I can read here. I'd have to say the good outweighed the bad and I have a very different impression of the team now that I did preseason. McKinney looks like he's going to be a keeper. Much more confident about the kicking game than I was. Line looked excellent on both sides of the ball. "D" was all we expect (and how about Kanongata'a?) Deep receiver corps living up to its promise. Moore, Nguyen and Canada are going to chew it up. Who expected Hardy had an arm? I hope like hell that Coach Delaney is working the secondary hard leading into Appalachian State.

Whoa this doesn't seem right at all. Isn't this the point of the season where it is obvious that no team in all of college football could possibly ever compete with the almighty griz?? Seriously, what's the point of playing anymore games? Let's just crown the griz champs of all the football universe now....

Dude....why? Their forum....their topic....we have our own.
Why am I here? I love football. I love Montana. Do you need a calculator?

It was mentioned that Canada was pouting regarding an earlier wrong by him. Resulted in his not playing much. You could sense his half cocked one armed grab at the kick off and the subsequent serious muff. He just was off saturday and needs to get his butt going. I think he will come out and do a better job this coming game. He brings some needed speed to the running back group.

I was right above the play. The ball took an odd bounce. It looked like it was going to be a free ball in the end zone. What he did was possibly the best solution which put us in a bad situation. The fact that the kick was right in the corner and that it bounced was the issue.

If I've seen anything from this group of guys through spring and fall camp is that they bounce back quickly from previous days errors. This staff motivates and corrects the players really well. I expect that no one was beating themselves up more on that than Jordan himself and he's probably working like hell and ready to go out against App and make up for it.

Thats what has made the Griz so good all these years. They have always had good coaches who get the most out of good players. I expect Jordan will play well on Saturday along with the rest of the team.
Go Griz!!

1. Totally agree! I'm willing to bet that if UM opened another beer garden (or five), or allowed alcohol in the stadium... this could be fixed. :thumb: If you wanted a beer at halftime & didn't have a tailgate, you are almost forced to leave early to get to the beer garden.

2. Thank you MSU fans for patronizing UM! :thumb:
