Eagles ignore missed chances, pile up 2nd half points

In reality, EWU moved the ball up and down the field at will for the duration of the game. If not for several overthrows early, a failed fourth down in the red zone, as Aaron Best said in the post-game press conference, the comeback might not have been necessary because it would've been a close game in the first half.

Plenty of good perspective from the EWU side of things in our story from today.

I hate that kind of argument. If not for a couple dropped passes, MT might have scored 38 in the first half instead of 24. Silly to say "but if"....

Ya ya. All true. But if UM receivers had caught a few more long balls, and the refs had called a PI when the EWU defender clearly come on JLM's back near the north goal line, UM might have been ahead by 4 TD's in the first half or early in the 2d half. And if 21 had caught the TD pass at that time, UM would have almost put the game out of reach.

And if the ball had bounced better on the onside kick, UM might have tied. And if Phillips had been the qb, UM might have won by 30.

EWU played well and won the game, and deserved to win, but please spare us with this one-sided BS. EWU didn't blow out the Griz, they won by 1 TD.

You forgot the catch by Sblendorio that wasn't a catch as he was falling out of bounds because he didn't maintain control to the ground...that one kept a drive going as well.
