Post Game: Baffling loss

Here's a few snippets from yesterday's presser. Go ahead and pick them apart.

"this game is so important to all of our fans. We have a responsibility to all of our fans to go out and play great football."

"These kids are very, very good football players. Our responsibility is to nurture these guys, be positive with them, because they are good players. We love these kids, we love coaching em' and we have great players"

again on Cat-Griz: "It's life here. And you just want to win so badly for our fans and for the great people in this state.

On Montana State's D "They have them playing, playing really well. They are a unique defense. A lot of really good football players. They fly around. A couple really good linebackers. Really good cover guys. It's a totally different scheme that what they were doing last year. It's going to be a great matchup."

That press conference was like five weeks ago. GOOD GOD
Five weeks ago, we beat Sac State 68-7.

Why would Stitt be complaining about player's "fire" after that one?

Are you even sane anymore? That's just a ridiculous comment.

Are you getting paid to do this?

Why are you in full-liar mode about what Stitt has, in fact, said about the team after the most recent three games?

This isn't just "agenda-driven," this is full-in, all-in propaganda.

Here's his recent comments, since, as a "journalist" you apparently need reminding that reality is something you are supposed to report on, not fabricate. This isn't the New York Slimes. Montana people still expect honesty. These are comments offered after the past three games. Not one is taken from the 68-7 thrashing of Sac State. All of the comments are taken from published sources, not your imaginary claims about what he said after a game we WON! Those claims are, in fact, false. He said nothing of the sort five weeks ago.

Bob Stitt: "We came out just… flat. Didn’t play with any intensity. Didn’t match any of their intensity at all, and they outplayed us. Flat outplayed us.”
“You don’t have to get yourself up to play in Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The fans will do that because we have an awesome environment,” said head coach Bob Stitt.
“We didn’t match the intensity of NAU,” said UM coach Bob Stitt. “They executed very well and we didn’t. We’ve got to bounce back and make sure we don’t go into a game like that again, mentally. We just didn’t give ourselves a chance.”
Our guys have to be mentally ready. We were not this past weekend.”
“It was all a mental thing, it had nothing to do with talent or the physical part. We weren’t ready, our minds weren’t in it and we didn’t handle adversity very well.”

“Hopefully it wakes some guys up,” he said. “You just hate to go into a football game and play in a manner that doesn’t represent your talent. We’ve worked so hard to get to a point, and then you take two steps back.
“We just didn’t come out with any type of fire and that’s been a problem for a while”
All of these comments were SINCE five weeks ago;indeed within the past three weeks. If you were a man, you would apologize. But, you're not. You've turned yourself into a voluntary pimp. Oh wait, it's not the "pimp" that does that, is it?

No, all of those comments were from the NAU game. And fine. You win. It was four weeks ago lmfao.
“We just didn’t come out with any type of fire and that’s been a problem for a while”
You are struggling hard to avoid the meaning of accusations by the Coach that it's "been a problem for a while." You frantically try to avoid what most honest people are seeing on the field the past three weeks.

You're not a journalist. You're something else.

Hell, go back to Stitt's comments from the "presser" prior to the Cal Poly game last year. "We don't lose in our house." How could we "pick that one apart" in advance of the actual game? And how does that chest thumping explain the actual outcome? You can't explain it.

Are you serious about comparing Stitt's comments about upcoming games, to actual results?

Then why not review his comments prior to the NDSU(2) game. It makes Stitt (and you if you apply your same level of obsequious delusion) look foolish in retrospect. Big talk doesn't go far in Montana. Honest humility, win or lose, goes a lot farther. You've a lot to learn in journalism.

I think this "we don't play with intensity" line is a bunch of garbage. On paper we play better than we did last year, and on the scoreboard/win-loss column we play the same. So if he wasn't bitching about the intensity last year, he shouldn't be this year. The only times college football players don't play with intensity is when they're getting beat or when they just don't like the coach or both. There's no difference between the intensity of last year's team and this year's team. It sounds more like an excuse to deflect blame away from the coach and onto the players.

Huh? Coming into last year's Griz/Cat game, we were 5-2 in conf. This year we're 3-4. Last year we were building momentum with a huge beatdown of EWU. This year? Same?

That's true if you look at it in terms of momentum going into this game, but in terms of the entire body of work, it's the same.

Incorrect
Explain.
5-2 vs. 3-4 is the same?
Well, no, but it's kinda like I said above, that's true if you look at it in terms of league record, but in terms of the entire body of work, it's the same. 6-4 and 6-4 is the same. A lot of wins last year were blowouts, just like this year. And the loss margins were almost identical...1,3,10,and 19 vs. 1,3,11,and 19.

Baffling, mr. Real estate? Your syrupy smooze requires me to get some moist towelettes to wipe your rose colored 6 bedroom 3 bath mentality of the griz program away.

Stitt is out of his league. Dennehy, Glenn, Hauck and Pflugerville took over and made something out of what they inherited.

Stitt is out of his league. And so are you. Now go sell some real estate or something productive. You suck at this.

Hmmmm....very Growleresque of you.LOL

I was thinking.....the same thing...

The only growler I get is at a local brewery...keep spinning.....especially after today.

Well, it's not the same now, is it?

Do you still want me to "pick them apart?"

Or are you going to do the usual and proclaim Stitt's outstanding record at Mines, his amazing ability to read a defense, and his "genius' quality offense? Are you going to continue to defend his treatment of players and staff? Are you going to continue to defy reality in favor of a sycophant's fawning press release?

God, besides being a fool, you have been such an asshole defending Stitt. How about that chicken sitting on your head right now? No, you don't know anything about sports.

Are you writing the press release for tomorrow morning?

Or are you going to argue he doesn't need a press release about today either?

Bump. Can't wait to hear GF's excuses. His sugar is not even sweet anymore.
