Post Game: A season fumbled away

We organized a search party, when the 24 hr. cool down period ended. My information is that they’re hold up at the Hotel Finlen waiting on St. Pats & the spring game. Welcome back & thanks for all the knowledge.

Spot on Brint, my only bitch were some captain obvious missed calls that could have been crucial to the outcome. The helmet thrown to the ground after he missed an interception, clear unsportsmanlike and all the ref did was wiggle his finger at him, that would have been a first down. The late hit out of bounds, clearly a personal foul. I'm sure there were no calls both ways but those two were just ridiculous to not call.
I'm not being a poor sport, griz lost in the same fashion they did all season, take away the dumb turnovers and we had an incredible season and I bet would have been a seeded team. We all saw glimpse of what could be, and I believe will. This next season is going to be tough.

Yeah, that cuts both ways. There were so many egregious offensive holding penalties by the Griz that were not called, particularly in the first half. You could play this "missed call" BS all night long, when in fact, there are always crap calls on both sides of the ball. MSU has had three Defensive "Delay of game" penalties called this year in Bozeman - tough $hit. I'll give Booby some props on his post-game presser - he didn't make many excuses, other than to generally say they just didn't get it done. He owned. It.

JLM didn't fumble the pitch. It was a bad pitch. Wasn't even close.

Fair, from my angle I couldn't really tell. Regardless that play killed what looked like a promising drive.

Oh I know they could probably throw a flag every down but those two were very very obvious.

Kind of. Would it have killed you bastards to do a program for cat-Griz? Typical goddamn millenials. Just for that I'm staying at the Fairmont next time I'm in the area.

We are fortunate JLM was able to fall on it. The pitch was way off the mark. It was tossed in his general direction rather than to him.

Another significant 'play' was the personal foul on Nash. It was very late in the first half and his response to Jonsen's jamming him in the face allowed msu to keep their drive alive. This set up their first touchdown. Had he kept his cool chances are we go in with a 22 - 0 lead at half. Just another case of "could have, should have, would have...". I don't blame him but damn I hate the 'stupidity penalties'.

Brint, as always thanks for your time and effort throughout the season with your write ups. :thumb:

Don't forget the missed field goal in the first half, all we would have needed was a field goal at the end of the game but who knows if that would have been made!

Shuolda woulda couda, does not get you into the playoffs boys. The Griz were clearly outplayed and out coached.

And as it turned out, the Cats still needed of bunch of luck to get the win.

 how exactly were they "clearly" outplayed and out coached? it came down to a last second play. i would say it was very EVENLY played and coached. if it was "clearly" than it wouldn't have come down to one play. your an idiot, be gone from me.

all of the sudden the cats are experts lecturing us on what it takes to get in the playoffs

Thanks Brint, I've been waiting for your report. This was such a letdown again, especially after that very solid first half. I was checking the forum while at the satellite party and people were posting that we need to keep scoring when we were up by 22 and were generally very anxious going into halftime and it turns out they were absolutely right. I can't describe the emotions at the end, half the place was already celebrating the touchdown when suddenly it was taken away and the Bozos took over the joint. I could not get out of there quick enough. 3rd loss in a row to MSU and another loss at what was once an almost insurmountable fortress that is home field, that's hard to stomach. And from the coach's comments it does not look like the prospects are great for next season either, so we'll just have to show patience. Boy, these mediocre seasons sure make you appreciate the success of the past more, no? Let's hope the good times shall return soon. Go Griz!
