Today in downtown and on campus, the wind blew about 25 mph. The wind is always stronger downtown and at the stadium because of the Hellgate winds. If there are wind gusts to 25-30 mph, and you're sitting in the west or south stands, it will be unbearably cold. A 30 mph wind at 0 degrees will have a wind chill of -26 which will cause frostbite in 30 minutes.

My ex wife stuck her tongue to the monkey bars in elementary school in Manhattan ii n the 70's. The school called the fire dept. When they said they were going to poor hot water on it, she freaked out and pulled away. Leaving the tip of her tongue sticking to the monkey bars. I still laugh at that, when I think of the cold like this.

Just heard the NCAA is consulting with the National Weather Service about whether to cancel the game. True. Supposed to be -38 with wind chill tomorrow.

Don't know where you're getting -38. It should be "reasonable" (comparatively) by kickoff and through the game tomorrow.
