As has been reported in the paper, Henderson needs to get an academic waiver from the ncaa. That is not assured. Brint has the others expected contributors listed, beyond Henderson and Jones. Jones had a terrific summer. Don't think he missed a lift or training session. Gus had a good summer and made terrific progress in the weight room. We'll see if any frosh emerge. There's talent there, but the preference is to redshirt them

I understand they are working to finalize his paperwork for this season as he has one year of eligibility left. He is back in Missoula and working out with the team this summer. I hope this happens as Ben is a fantastic athlete, great young man and a terrific competitor. He showcased his skills this weekend winning the slam dunk competition at the Polson 3 on 3 tourney with dunks such as a 360 windmill. One of the best WRs to come out of the MT high school ranks - would love to see him playing for the Griz this fall.

Ben was a redshirt junior at WSU and graduated in the spring. Did not get selected in the Spring draft and came to UM for graduate school - and to play football.

Well, if Ben Roberts does play, that will be one less worry. The kid is an incredible athlete, and would be another big strong WR. We have some serious redzone targets this season.
 
Missoulian article just out saying Ben Roberts will be a Griz, so there you go! I'm excited to see what he brings to this group, could be starter material...
 
Back to the subject at hand. I thought our passing game kind of sucked last year. Was it our O-line, our schemes, our receivers, our quarterback, our crappy fans, our cheerleaders, astrology, Monte, or what?

Who cares who knew what when? Fact is, Ben Roberts is a GRIZ, and that is great for him and the team. Telling after the fact proves nothing, even if you did know. Hell if you can't break the news, drop a hint like "There will be another WR xfr joining the GRIZ. " Or former Missoula kid will be returning to play for the GRIZ.

At least that is an indicator you knew something without letting anything out too soon.
