I still say JK could be a great DE. WaGriz is right that the coach said he would find a way to get both JT and JK on the field at the same time.
Because Gregorek has no experience calling 3-4 defenses other than his one year stint with Breske where the 3-4 was used sparingly. This isn't a video game. You sound like the guys who thought Pflugrad should have thrown together a pro-style system in 1 summer to run his first year, even though he had no prior experience running one, and that isn't his philosophy.infiltrator said:JP will never play D-end way to small. Doesn't have the length either to put his hand in the ground. WAGRIZ why wouldn't we play a 3-4. Our numbers favor it. We don't have the dline size or depth for a base 4-3. I wouldn't doubt if we do run 4-3 in games but it won't be our base.
depth for 3-4 front seven.

Not true. Rehabbing means alot. Strengthening the shoulder area with lifting means alot. Name one UM player in the past 15 years that didn't come back and play after the dozens of shoulder surgeries that players have had in that period of time. Even Pitcher came back for awhile, and there was a back story involving why his shoulder may not have recovered (involving a non-football reinjury after the surgery).

How 'bout Craig Chambers?

Chambers though was a little unique, it was a spring ball injury, he was a senior, and couldn't get another year of eligibility. He was in a crunch to try to rush it back and timing was against him. I bet if he could've had a medical RS left that he could've returned to full form the following year.
