i believe that the starting und qb was out for the griz game and some previous ones. so i don't think it was quite the same team.

UND had a different QB when the beat PSU - they also had a healthy starting safety that is a good player, #8 - he returned against us but played like crap. I think they also had an experienced starting corner that dropped out of that game.

It seems to me that PSU leaves a lot of injuries in their wake. Not saying they're dirty but many teams after they play PSU are beat to hell.

Nope...that is exactly what you are saying...

Did you watch this?

[youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BizmjBn8pA#t=14[/youtube]

watched it live and wouldn't say it was a dirty hit...unfortunate yes

Good G-D guys

I'm not saying that his was or wasn't...

But a lot of cat fans think it was - to the point of some writing the BSC about it.

whiny bitches

Almost made this a new thread but I figured Raider would take me yard on it...

But... the weather?

It's not going to be cold and probably won't be too loud for the game at PSU, but it's going to be very rainy and apparently windy even. Saw this on twitter:

[tweet]https://twitter.com/ajmazzolini/status/660197259947081729[/tweet]

[tweet]https://twitter.com/ambmontana/status/660195405922041856[/tweet]

Which begs the question - will the weather report possibly give some chances for Lucas to come in and run a zone-read offense like we saw late against UND?

Both teams have to play in this crap and will need to adjust, if it's really windy it'll affect Montana more than PSU I'd guess. The rain could make some handoffs tricky. It'll be interesting to see if any different approach is taken by the Griz if it's a dounpour and windy.

I haven't been in that stadium in a while, it's sunken down and now almost entirely surrounded by seats so the wind may not be that big of a deal...

How come we never just beat someone around here?[/quote]
I agree mike! When the Griz lose it is players and coaches fault they suck, when the Griz when the other team was injured or had a bad day or it was too cold or too loud. When was the last time the griz BEAT a team according to e-griz???????

Leading with your helmet on another player's helmet is illegal, and for good reason. Those are the kind of hits that cause concussions.

It wasn't like the dude dropped his head to lead with his helmet...seriously, how about we just hand them all flags as 2-handed touch below the waste is just a little weird....

It was certainly "helmet to helmet" and should have been flagged for violating today's rule..... But cheap, dirty or targeting? I don't see it. Speed of the game.....

You watched that whole game too - #8 made a lot of tackles that way the whole game.

The cats have a way of making FCS teams look like the New England Patriots. PSU is not a bad football team but the same UND team the Griz handled last weekend beat this PSU team.

eGriz guilt. It's similar to racial guilt, except it involves a deep seated feeling that our football team has been too successful through the years and makes folks feel guilty and make excuses about winning.

Who was it that had the idea of "bipassing" the red zone all together on the way to the end zone? I like that idea. Punch it in from the 38.

.... Seems like he's having fun out there. Relaxed in competition.
Simis is having fun what he's doing. He had a smile on his face in TV closeups the whole time vs. UND. That rubs off on the O. He has supreme confidence in himself, and I think his O responds to that. And it showed vs. UND.

I will say it. Until PSU proves otherwise, they are dirty. They have been for years.

Don't know about now, but they have been for almost as long as I've been watching

Beating someone or losing is just fine....It's the hyperbole that occurs on egriz after either outcome that's the issue. The Griz win, they're back to elite status etc. The Griz lose, everything is circling the drain. Nobody can just deal with the REALITY of Griz football right now....

Simis grins even after he makes a bad play or is knocked down by a nasty pass rush.

Until he gets knocked out of a game for some reason or other this young man simply "has it".....

Saturday many will be sitting on the edge of their seats worrying about the play of Simis. He will come out and do well when it's his turn to perform. Stitt has a game plan up his sleeve that should rattle psu!
