Portland State Regular Season Predictions

Sorry that it upset you so much that I don't keep up with the status of Portland's facilities. Maybe if they had a championship more recent than the 1977 Blazers, they would have a bigger following, but then if a city full of liberals was really concerned about it, they would do something about all the people living in tents under the freeways than renovating a stadium for soccer and kicking the local university out.
Yes, it was 2006 when I visited there, but how many games did they play after that to begin with? I was about to retire from 23 plus years in the Army at that time and stayed with my sister in Lake Oswego and I believe she and her husband were upset because that whole project had just been voted in. I have been back there more than a handful of times to visit my sister, but I haven't gone downtown to see the place because I don't really care if they play lawn darts or anything else there.
Apparently, you have some attachment to it, so we'll see if they ever play another game there again and wish you the best if that's what you would like to have happen.
Not upset in anyway. And thanks for all the words that add zero and that I apparently hurt your feelers.

I think you're probably very right, but my god, that is brutal. I'm wondering how long Robbie stays to keep growing as a coach with the state of that program.

I still see Barney being on our staff as an analyst before too long, but PSU must know that he is the best ambassador they are going to get and that no coach is going to fix their football program.
Let's say that Tim Hauck decides to take up fishing full time in the next year or two. Bobby could hire Robbie to coach safeties and/or special teams.

To be honest with you, I'm more than a little surprised he isn't already back doing exactly that.

For now, though, I appreciate him sending their best defensive player over to join our team. Really appreciate that kind of loyalty, haha.

PSU will go 0-12. Weber had a really piss poor year last year, but one of our 4 wins was at UM. Weber lost a lot of close contests and years like that can happen. Our coaches jobs are on the line and they know it. There seems to have been a significant change in attitudes. I expect improvement over last year, even with the brutal schedule.

If I were you I’d be rooting for them to have a bad year so you guys can make a coaching change. This guy is never gonna get you back to Jay Hill level.

Do you like Gilkey or McCollum better at QB? Obviously Godley will probably be your starting RB but do you think Sylvester will climb up the depth chart this year? I also like what I think your top 5 receivers will be. Record, Chretien, Kjar, Thrower, and Session in that order. Do you see any others making an impact? When looking into you guys, I was also surprised you didn’t use your TEs much last year in the pass game. Is that normal for your offense? Sorry if you wanna discuss D, I’ve only looked into your offensive skill positions and TE’s.

We have 3 solid QBs in the mix. Gilkey is probably in the lead right now, but not by a lot. That room seems to be an upgrade from the past couple of years. The skill positions and the offense as a whole looks more solid than it has for a while. Unlike most years, it's our defense that has the most question marks. We lost a top defensive coach and a couple of good defensive ends to ISU. Plus, we lost our best defensive end to BYU. We do have some young talent there and some transfers, but the defections can not be over looked. We should be okay with the LBs and DBs. I'm not one to throw in the towel too quickly on a coach. Coaches can learn and grow, just like the players can. This year is the put up or shut up year for this staff. It's not a secret and there has been some real sole searching going on with everybody involved. I don't see us losing to PSU and I do expect a better performance than last year.

Best of luck, OR! The older I get the more I root for the BSC founding member teams. The conference is better when Idaho, Weber and NAU are competitive. I would even throw in ewu.

Not sure about NAU’s defense but their O looks very strong. Outside of the scats and us, they definitely look like they could win the con.
