Portland State LB dies suddenly

People just don't believe tonsils surgery as an adult is risky....but it is.

RIP, LB.

Absolutely...my brother's good friend died after the same surgery...he was 21 at the time.

Prayers with the family and Portland State Athletic Departmeent.

Is there any other way to die than "suddenly"?

Some of the titles of threads started by mods lead me to believe they have brain damage.......some more than others.

Well, it took my mom 4 days, and she was 61. I'm guessing most 20 year olds don't think about dying from tonsils surgery.

very sad news for that young man's family. So sorry to hear of this. When my patients ask my thoughts on tonsil surgery as adults, I tell them that there are risks, including death obviously. They really think I'm crazy when I say that to them.

I laughed outloud with that emoji. My new favorite!
