Portland State in Bozeman

Cats offense was not good today. Predictable play calling and no mid range pass threat. I was on the cat side line, no offensive leaders have emerged. The coaches are high energy, but no Newell types to lead the team. Haven't felt this discouraged after a win ever

I'd rather have a defense than an offense

Troy Anderson will be special. He will be better than Newell once he grows and develops. Kid already has some beast mode to him.

What cannot be denied is all of the fluff coming out of spring and fall ball on how improved Murray was as a passer. I'm not seeing that at all, nor are my cat friends who are not drinking blue Kool-Aid. I'm surprised Choate hasn't given Rovig the ball yet. I predict Gubrud will do to you what he did to us and just absolutely pick your secondary apart. Way too many open receivers

I probably shouldn't post right now. But our offense is 99% run, then they try to bomb it down field.coaches play calling is poor, and there are no visible on field general's on offense

The PS QB threw 52 passes but was only 5 for 18 on third down. Cats ran for 403 yds. Didn’t want to pass in that wind. Second half when wind got worse Cats changed game plan and stayed with run. Was successful.

PSU QB threw for 317. Murray threw for 9. You tried to blame the wind. Had nothing to do with the wind. He is not that improved in the pass game. Not as much as all you would hope and tried to say.

MSU is rebuilding and has played fairly well, although they are now going to have to hit the road. They have played at home for some key games. Murray can’t pass. It is that simple. I hope Choater stays stubborn and does not put Rovig in. Game planning for D coordinators playing MSU is fairly straight forward.

No way they win with Murray not passing well and just running!
