Portland State hires Chris Fisk as head coach

Portland, a once great city, is the last city in the west that I would consider moving to. Any young intelligent football player should also see that Portland as a city is a cesspool of filth and provides very little value living there. I expect the coach to be there no more than three years before he moves on.

Maybe he thinks he can follow Papa Bear’s footsteps going from PSU to the friendly confines of Wa-Griz.

C. Washington couldn't even get out of the 1st round of the d2 playoffs, they got bounced by something called Western Colorado who went on to lose their next playoff game..

By your logic Mercer is a FCS power, by being the best team in a dogshit conference..

CWU could beat Mercer. Any given Saturday, a team can lose a game they're supposed to win, or win a game they're supposed to lose. NDSU loses to Illinos St.last week, as an example. CWU is a good team, and Fisk is a very good coach. He has a hell of a job to do at PSU. They'll give him some time. Worst coaching situation to go into in the country, but I think Fisk will eventually get it turned around. Also hope that Barnum is hired in some capacity by U of M.
 
Of course there is always an off chance that Team A could beat Team B on anygivensaturday question was, is C.Wahington a powerhouse.
Simple answer is NO!!!

bubs got bounced in the first round of the playoffs by unseeded ndsu a few years back.

By your logic, I guess they're not a power.

Only Cowboy knows the definition of "powerhouse", whatever that might be. And who really gives a f#$k what that is. No solid explanation of his thinking. He's like my wonderful brother, who loves football, but only comes out of the woodwork when he predicts a winner. My other brother and I will ask him, "why do you think they won?" And he'll say something like, "They were by far the better team. They dominated!" And we'll say, "but why?" And he'll say, "because they just kicked ass!" That's basically Cowboy. One reason I respect a lot of the posters on Egriz, is, they lay it out there with a reason, and I may not always agree, but they put it all on the line. Jackasses who just say things and don't back it up, well, that's why many of us usually just say, "Idiot" after they post something. Just an observation.

Good post. And just because a person enjoys wearing assless chaps doesn’t make them a cowboy.
 
It should be worth noting that CWU was loaded with former D1 players some even from FBS schools like WSU which isn’t the case on a lot of D2 teams. The only D2 I really follow is the RMAC and it looks like CWU has more D1 guys than anyone in the RMAC at least.

O.k. genius, let's hear why they are only 5-9 in the d2 playoffs, in which they are usually bounced out in the first or second round..

That doesnt sound like a powerhouse team to me. Sounds more like a team who beats up on inferior conference opponents and than when faced with a real challenge folds up like what an old chair does when your fat ass sits on it...

Let's hear all the reasons you think their some powerhouse.. to quote Bart Scott, "can't wait"..go..
