What date does our new portal window close? Does it work both ways? Can BK still bring in new if old leave?

BK can bring in anyone still in the portal at any time. The window is for players entering the portal.
Opens five days after Hauck's announcement, and closes 15 days after opening.
Math is hard, so I'll leave that part to others.
I don't know when the official clock starts, but I was thinking it closed on the 24th. To be honest, though, if players were going to enter I would have expected them to do it right away.
My reading is hiring date of BK is when the clocks start.
I would've thought that, as well, but they probably didn't know there would be more staff turnover until yesterday, so some might be giving it time to ruminate before making any decision.

So the 24th or the 25th then.
I think it would be the 24th. Bobby Kennedy was announced as the new head coach at the same time that Bobby H announced his "retirement". That happened on February 4th. The portal window opened 5 days later which was the 9th, and it's open for 15 days which would mean it would close on the 24th.
The official date of hiring was the day after Hauck retired, was announced on the 5th.

The NCAA says it's five days from the date the new coach is hired OR announced. Haslam announced that Bobby Kennedy would be the new head coach to the media on January 4th. I think that's pretty clear cut.
I would guess that no one's gonna leave this semester. Because the semester has already started. And if they leave then, they lose out on being able to train this spring with anyone cause they can't join another college at this point. So if anyone's going to leave, they're going to stay, play spring ball and then announce that they're entering the portal, the end of the semester.
There's no longer a spring portal window. There was the January window and this special window now that the coach has left.
