No, we don't. Even including the 6'6", 215 stand up guy as the 4th, UM's d-line is only 26 pounds in total less than the Cats, which is 4.5 pounds per player.

Why don't you just admit that you didn't do your homework and asked a stupid question?

This is the same Cat who honestly predicted their new freshman QB would put up all conference numbers with 25+ TDs, 200 passing ypg, less than 10 picks, and over a 60% completion rate. This should tell you everything you need to know about Poorgriz’ absolute lack of football knowledge. He honestly had no idea those numbers would be incredible. He’s such a dip shit.

Yes, and I did say up front it was a wild ass guess and my only real PREDICTION that I bet $$ on was that our passing stats would be better than what they've been. OK hot shot football gurus, if you're so all knowing when it comes to these things why don't you predict where we'll be in those three categories, and while you're at it please tell me where Dalton Sneed will end up?

But even for a wild ass guess that was as bad as it could get. I mean it truly shows me you don’t have a lot of knowledge about the game of football or the stat leaders in the conference. Which also tells me a lot of what you spew over here is just absolute shit.

As far as passing numbers go, there literally is nowhere to go but up so your willingness to put dollars on that should be pretty automatic. I mean the cats literally can do no worse than what they’ve done passing the last couple years

As for Sneed I think he will put up numbers similar to last year which places him in the top three or so quarterbacks in the league. I think he’ll throw a few more touchdowns. For Baumann, I think he will be doing pretty damn well if he throws 150 yards per game, completed 55% of his passes and throws 13 touchdowns. I think he probably throws at least 10 picks if he’s not replaced w Rovig by game 5

Ok, cool. We'll check back after the season and see how our predictions held up :thumb:

Don’t really care what PG posted or the avg weight of the Cats DLine.

For a 3-3-5 defense, I personally think our 3 man front is too small.

With this scheme I would prefer to see the DT at 300/320 with DEs at 270/280.

Edit:

Yes, I know San Diego State’s down linemen average about 260

Nice correction, WV used this type of D years ago so their undersized players could compete. Speed and different angles. Changing hybrid of man and zone with multiple blitz packages, keeping offense guessing on who is rushing and who is covering.
Common sense thought...three DL, they need to be big like 3-4, not the case with 3-3-5 undersize with speed. Last year DL didn’t have enough speed, they had size, improvement in edge rush speed will be positive change this year.

This is false. Bigger and slower is more important than smaller and faster in the 3-3-5.

The the entire purpose of the defense is to clog the middle and funnel the plays to the spurs and rover(or whatever terminology the coaches here use for LB and safety position Hauck plays
Oversimplification.

Actually it is that simple. It’s the basis for the 3-3-5 system. The proof is already there(last years stats)The spur and rover(Olson and Hauck In this case) will always be the leading tacklers.

Also the nose doesn’t have just one gap responsibility. Depending on the call that responsibility can go from The A to C gaps through slants , twists etc. the purpose is to get the oline out of position and occupy the blockers. Offensively the best blocking scheme to counter it is “zone” blocking.

So, how does a big slow nose cover all those gaps, and do all the slants and twists? Why is zone blocking best to block big slow guys? Looks like you just contradicted yourself, and showed Kem to be correct.

PR, moving/slanting/twisting d-lineman completely screw up man blocking angles for o-lineman. This zone blocking is best to deal with such movement.

The discussion was about whether big slow d-lineman were as good at moving/slanting/twisting as smaller more mobile lineman. I agree with the point you made.
