Poor Production in Big Minutes For Starters

If I looked at the Box Score right it looked like the starters had a pretty poor night with their production.

Dlouhy 14pts and 6 reb in 32 minutes = C-
Hasquet- 2pts and 1 reb in 24 min = F
Swift- 6pts and 3 reb in 28 minutes = F
Strait 16pts and 11 reb in 37 min = A-
Martin 5pts, 1 reb and 2 asts in 23 min = F
Stadacher 3 pts in 19 minutes = F
Ellis 3 pts in 13 minutes = D-
Rundles 6pts in 14 minutes = C
Chase 2 pts and 4 rebounds in 0nly 6 min = A-

Alot of minutes tonight to guys who did not produce. It better be much better against Wyoming or it will be another "L".

Wyoming has one of the better guards in Brandon Ewing that the Griz will face all year. He had 30+ points against Boise over the weekend.

PLEASE PRAY FOR MORE MINUTES FOR GUS!!!

Come on, Gus needs to produce when he is in the game. Do you think there is a conspiracy or something? So far all you have done is complain about his minutes, never anything about the team. I know you are his fan, but so are a lot of other people. There are 14 guys battling for PT right now, and Gus is one of them. I wish you had been here last year, Virgil Mathews came out of no where to play a key role in the Griz success. Gus will get his chance to shine.

How can you say that he has to produce when he is in the game. He only played six minutes. I understand that their are a number of people fighting for minutes, but look at the production. It looks like tonight could have been on eof those night when some one on the bench could have made a difference. The totals don't lie. And NO I don't think their is a conspiracy, but sometimes it just has a funny feeling that no matter how hard you practice or how much you do nothing is good enough.

How many practices have you been to? It says here you are in WY. If yo haven't been to the practices or any game, how is it you know so much? The last game he got 2 quick fouls and as soon as he went back in picked up a 3rd. There is an sdjustment from JC to D1. I am not putting Gus down in any way shape or form, but Know the Coach pretty good. Tinks was also an All Conference player and still is the 4th leading scorer in school history, so he knows about the inside game. I have posted a lot of posts touting Gus, and by the end of the season I think he will make an impact. patience my man. Matt Martin went through a frustrating time and now his hard work is paying off. It happens more often that you can imagine.

Gus is competing for minutes with a bunch of guys who have played at least one year in this system. You're right about the lack of productivity tonight from some of the starters, and Gus did have a bunch of rebounds for playing only 6 minutes. I didn't see the game (listening to it was tough enough), so it's hard for me to judge. JC guys, more often than not, face a steep learning curve and start out a little slow in terms of playing time. Grizbacker makes a good point when using Virgil M as an example of this. He did not play much until late in his junior year. Kamarr Davis was one of the few JC guys I remember who played a bunch early and Kamarr was a heckuva player. My guess is Gus will begin to see major minutes pretty early in his career. He is a natural inside scorer and is exceptionally quick for a post player. I'm wondering why Mike Chavez got zero minutes.
