The FCS being refered to as the JV squad wasn't coined by the SSU clown. It's a pretty good analogy if you ask me.

I think most Cat and Griz fans, even though we absolutely despise the other on the field, are not super bothered by this move. Speaking only for myself, I am looking forward to your Idaho-esque elevation to, and delegation from, the ranks of the FBS. At least Idaho had a claim to competitiveness when they moved up, and their only in state competitor was Boise. I’m sure you guys will draw a ton of fans from the greater Sacramento area, just like you always have.

For whatever reason, every time I’ve watched the Cats play in Sacramento, the Cat fans outnumbered you at least 3-1 on a bad day. I’m sure the Griz are relatively close to or exceeding that margin as well. At least both of our teams have won meaningful games, bro.

You don’t have to win 10ish championships like those fat assholes from North Dakota, because they have nothing else to live for. California has a ton of professional and collegiate sports to choose from and the weather and scenery are far superior to North Dakota at any time of the year.

In the end though, you’ll stick out like a fat fucker from NDSU trying to squeeze into that middle seat on their long flight to Hawaii, not because of your obesity, but because of your irrelevance. I can’t wait. Good luck!

Tons of FBS teams lose money hand over fist playing in front of nobody without also giving up all their revenue for the privilege, and my hunch is that unless Sac wins right away and sustains that success, they're just going to be another UMASS, but without the history of basketball success.

They're taking a huge gamble here, and I honestly hope it works out for them, but it's wild that people are acting like it's anything short of a wing and a prayer just because they want Montana to move up. I think they have about an equal chance of shuttering their football program in a few years as they do having any real success at the FBS level.

Because we haven't had a president with the vision and drive to pull all the levers to get it done. Hate Dr. Wood all you want but he delivered on FBS. We paid the going rate for JV to FBS membership, a rate that will only increase as the deadline for NCAA D1 governance change approaches.

I’m a Cat fan, you jackass. From the year I was born until my sophomore year in high school I don’t see the Cats beat the Griz one time. Not one.

During that stretch, Reagan was re-elected. Clinton one twice. 9/11 happened. George W. was elected and the internet became a thing. Was Sac state awesome during this time? I must have missed it.

You should consider the pill you are swallowing. An unremarkable football program without the ability to win at the FCS level moving into a the lowest tier of the FBS division, where winning and reputation are the only way to survive in college sports. Good luck.

You paid the same entry fee to the FBS that North Dakota State paid to join the MWC. That's all they paid. You then paid the same money that SMU gave the ACC to join that conferences as a full member and all you got in the MAC for was football.
Woody is a visionary alright. You overpaid to move up to a conference that will soon be a thing of the past and the Mountain West and PAC 12 still won't let you in when that happens, but do your happy dance, we don't care on egriz, but you won't go away.
