One is from Minnesota the other is from upstate New York, which one are you trying to make fun of?

Don’t care where they’re from, and I’m not making fun of the person. I’m saying that doofy accent makes me laugh every single time. Especially when I’m not expecting it. 😂

Listen to this, and learn .. informative stuff starting at the 9:00 minute mark .. good luck for the next 6 years playing EWU, UNC and the like😂😂
I learned nothing in listening to these Nodaks that I didn’t know already. And it had nothing to do with the absolutely terrible and awful deal Sac state made to go up. Look at their deal compared to North Dakota state….apples to oranges. Financially this isn’t going to work out for Sac

Well see in the next 4-5 years where Sacramento State and The Grizzlies are at if It was a wise move or not to staying the FCS, till then its guessing.

They will be one of the FBS teams most fans don't know are FBS. Similar to Akron, Western Michigan, Western Kentucky, and Old Dominion.

But, worse.

And unfortunately we'll still probably be the team that most people ask me if we're the ones that won all those D2 championships. Then i always gotta say "no, they are D1 championships and that was north dakota state."

If you look at the NDSU move, the time was right for them while their stock is still up. They led the pack for a decade, but there are indications there that they were about to be back in the field again with one championship in the last four years and one and done in the 2025 playoffs.

They spent a long time dreaming that the Big 10 was going to give them a call and invite them over, so even a watered-down Mountain West offer is still decent consolation. Then factor in how much it makes them look even better that Sac couldn't get in, even with the money they were offering to join the club.

At this stage, I am only convinced that joining the MAC (for football only at that) does not qualify as getting out of the JV. The verdict is still out if the new look MWC, better than the MAC team for team, but hardly a lot of big-time college football there when your best team is probably UNLV, who is a captive because of Nevada.

Without seeing their schedules they end up with, I feel that NDSU gets into a bowl game as a fill-in because there are just too many games these days and they will need to put them into one. Sac State needs six D-I wins to qualify for the same thing, so they are going to have to drop a lot of the games they have scheduled, you can only use one FCS win toward the six bowl eligible wins. With 7 FCS games on the schedule, I would imagine that they are going to owe cancellation money to a bunch of schools as well. If they won 7 in their last year in the Big Sky, they will have a rough time putting together 3 or 4 wins with all the travel ahead of them in 2026.
I agree with the NDSU move. Really, it did make sense. Why not strike while the iron is hot? If it doesn't work out they can always drop back down, but I think it will work out for them.

I also believe they will be in a bowl game immediately. With the realignment, and most of the real competition in the MWC jumping to the now PAC 8, they will be a top five team every year. Even finishing at .500 will assure them a spot in the "Whatever Bowl".

Sac State's move is just bad. I see them floundering in the FBS for a few years and then dropping back down like Idaho did. If they had gotten into the MWC or PAC I think they would have eventually had success. The MAC is silly. It was like Idaho joining the Sun Belt with teams spread out across the United States. Their closest opponent will be Northern Illinois. The rest are all in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and New York. The logistics alone are going to be a nightmare.

If UM and MSU hypothetically ever moved up then only conferences that would remotely make sense would be the PAC 8, which isn't going to take them... well maybe sense they took Texas State, but the MWC makes the most sense.

As much as I argue for the move up, it does make more financial sense for MSU and UM to stay where they are. Half of the BSC is within six hours of each other.

I don't know who does the negotiating for Sac, but my God.....
They have who is probably the dumbest President of a U that I have ever seen. Starting with the panda reference, DEI much?

We’ll see you again in 3 years when you’re bagging to come back. Hope your program doesn’t shutter
Imagine making one of the worst moves “up” college football has ever seen. Picture being so clueless you view the MAC as a step up. Envision spending 20 million dollars and getting nothing in return for at a minimum 5 years. Then, to prove that you are really the bitch of this terrible league; picture them then forcing you to pay the way for all teams to visit your shit stadium. Just imagine looking at all this evidence and still thinking it’s a good idea. Picture thinking it is SUCH a great idea, that you go start a pole on a message board of a team that used to be in the league you are so happy to leave……..

It all sounds just mind bottling ridiculous right? But what if I told you that team was from California? Aaahhhh…………….

Idaho watching Luke Wood this whole time.

My vote is obvious. All that shit you all talked over the years only to see us move up out of the JV ranks a few years removed from our BSC threepeat is just marvelous...Simply marvelous.
You still likely have a very small man appendage. Just sayin...

You're still planning on Montana being in the Big Sky conference three years from now..🙄
I mean yeah both cats and Griz will
Be unless a major shakeup happens in that time frame. Which I would imagine at that point both Montana schools would be highly sought after additions to whatever a new conference or division would look like.

i think it was a no brainer for NDSU to move up. They had major FCS fatigue as a fan base and were only filling up the Fargo dome half full for games. They had literallly nothing left to prove in FCS after being so dominant. Their fund raising and ability to generate $ wa only going to decrease if they stayed. Being able to go to MW as a football only was the dream scenario for them. Perfect timing and perfect invite.

My point on Sac St is that it’s literally none of that. They haven’t been dominant in FCS. They don’t have fan fatigue, they barely have fans. They lose millions of $ each year from football alone and have to be subsidized heavily my the university and school fees. They have no stadium and are going to sink 200M into one to make it better.

Then the deal they agreed to to join the MAC is insane. At this point, I’m wondering if they have a board of levelheaded people who honestly could sign off on it. 23M to join, no rev sharing or tv revenues, and they pay for all to travel to Sac for games. They weren’t making dollars on football to begin with and now they’re going to try to pull this off?

I’m just saying, I don’t think this is going to go very well for them at all.

I hope one day both the cats and Griz move up, but I hope they do it responsibly and not desperately. They will go together. That is the only way it will ever happen.

Their strategy may be the Marshall model, use the MAC to move up, then quickly find a better FBS landing spot. I'm sure they still have their eye on the MWC or the PAC but doubt the MWC or the PAC will ever have their eye on them. And Marshall paid very little for their first step, unlike SacSt.

I think you are spot on Kem. That was what I thought they were trying to move up as an Independent, just so they could reason with the MWC or PAC they were already in the FBS. I think it was obvious too that the money was out there to lure one of those two to bite, and good for them, they said no immediately. Sac doesn't understand that they just are not wanted, but I feel like they think they can come back and offer more money to get in later.
