Poll Ranking Question

I know there are several different polls out there that rank teams before the season begins. What I want to know is which of these polls is the one that the FCS uses in officially ranking a team? Is it the Sporting News poll, Athlon Sports poll, or another poll?

And for whichever poll is the one that is used, are the current preseason rankings on that poll what teams will be ranked as to start the season, or will the rankings change again before the season starts?

I believe it's the Sporting News.

the sports network and coaches polls are used by the selection committee as is the gridiron power index which is similar to the b.c.s. poll.
