"$5,000 on Monmouth, please".
Yep. That spread seems way out of line ... understandable, since it's about betting $$$, not game matchups. Would expect that to come down as gamblers jump on it.

FWIW: Monmouth is the #18 rushing offense in FCS, mainly because Guerriero is by far the best RB in FCS (in fact, he is second in all of Division I). He leads the #2 rusher by 275 yards.

While it’s true that JMU is the #1 rushing defense in FCS, they have not seen anyone quite like Mr. G. If they do stack the box … well Monmouth has a better than average passing attack: 275.0 ypg (#22). (Only about 15 yards behind the Griz, BTW.)

Small side point. I thought some loud mouth NDSU poster has said that the now-hurt So Dak St back was by the best FCS running back?

It will be very interesting to see how the point spread on our game moves this week, with the weather issue. If my weather app is correct, I could see this point spread moving to 21 by the end of the week.

NDSU to cover & the under
Monmouth to cover & the under
KSU to cover & the under
Sac to cover & the under
MSU to cover & the under
SLU to cover & the under
UNI to cover (and maybe win outright)
Ill State to cover (and maybe win outright)

14-way parlay. Easy money.

I like IL State to win, but it’s hard to pick UNI outdoors vs the team they got destroyed by a few weeks ago, and when there O is struggling. Turnover and special teams will decide in the cold.

Some Bison fan keep telling us that SDS has lost all of its good players to injury, and won't be able to beat anyone. The great qb and best running back in the nation.

Exactly.

Am I correctly reading that UNI is favored over SDSU?

I don't care if SDSU is calling up the water boy to play QB. UNI is not super cool or good at football.

The favoured team is listed and the (-) means they have to win by more than the points listed.
NDSU is not a 28 point underdog at home against Nichols State. ;)

Did you see UNI’s offense last week? SDSU wins a close one.
No, I didn't.
FYI: UNI scored one offensive TD and a FG against a team ranked #43 in Total Defense. Their only other score was an early pick-six. SDSU is ranked #9 in Total D. Hmmm. ;)

We watched parts (only) of that game ... it was excruciating.

Okay, I'm not on top of the big-time gambling scene (who buys the beer is about my limit).

So, with some many underdogs winning or beating the spread: How did the books do on the FCS playoffs this weekend.

The over/under looks pretty well split, with the AP-Sac looking like the over will mostly win.
