IFAIK, Haslam can't have any input on his university's football team, just like none of the other ADs can have input on their own school's chances.

How the Big Sky teams be considered, as well as even UNI, without Haslam likely mentioning the Griz.

The committee must go to dinner or have drinks (milk for Haslam), and I assume informal discussions occur.

In 2014 when Jeff Tingey was on the committee he had to leave the room while the rest of the committee discussed ISU.

Yes, that is specified in the rules. Leave room when your team is being discussed.It doesn't say the AD can't say anything about his team in other situations.

If UM and MSU win today, then it should be easier to see where they might fit in the bubble teams.

Just my take, it will be really hard for Montana to make it. There are at least 3"bubble" teams who are more qualified if they all win out. North Dakota who would have 7 wins and a win over montana, Western Illinois 7 wins and a win over montana, and Idaho state who would finish higher in the big sky with a quality win over weber state. There might be more that's just the top of my head. That being said there's alot of season left to be decided.

On paper you are correct but that game today was not as it appeared. YSU was lucky today and UNI was the better team IMHO. That really was a nice win for the griz this year, despite the records of both teams.

Definitely root for NAU! Cats may get in over ND (even if ND beats NAU), but Griz probably wouldn’t with that loss to ND with both at 7-4. I truly think the committee will treat ND as a Big Sky team. Three teams battling for one spot imo.
