Playoff selection show

montana will either host a first-round game or get a 7 r 8 seed to host a second-round game -- the ncaa would like at least ONE home crpwd gate from us...

no chance in hell UM gets seeded
 
What?! No way in gods green earth we get a seed. We at best, get a first round home game. Then the rest will all be up to the W's and L's
 
My educated guess on the seeds and the playoff field.
#1 Jacksonville St. (10-1) (Ohio Valley Auto)

Only 2 of these 7 get in
My guess in---
New Hampshire (7-4) won last 3 including Richmond
And one of these Big Sky teams gets in
Northern Ariz. (7-4) when 4-1 down the stretch and scored 40 points in all of them
North Dakota (7-4) won 3 straight and beat PSU

Bubbles broken
Towson (7-4) Has won 5 of 6 but no big name wins
Western Carolina (7-4) Went 2-2 down the stretch no big wins
Tennessee-Martin (7-4) went 2-2 down the stretch no big wins
Jacksonville (8-2) Bad conference Dayton is in... so they probably are not
 
After looking at all this I think the Big Sky gets 4 teams:
I am just not sure how they will choice between NAU and N. Dakota.
My guess is NAU because they have a history of playing in the playoffs and are a better name recognition team.

NC A&t will not get in...no MEAC at large

Please..not another non-scholarship school. :oops: Last year's blow out over San Diego seemed more like a Oklahoma Panhandle State contest than a real playoff game.
 
Agreed North Dakota gets in over NAU without a doubt. The Hawks have an FBS win over Wyoming, beat Portland State and all of their wins are over D1 Teams. The Jacks only have 6 D1 wins with their biggest wins being over Montana State (losing record) and Eastern Washington who has lost 3 in a row, 2 badly and whose biggest win is against Montana State.
 
I will be surprised if they don't pair Montana & So Utah in the first round. Not my preference but it just seems to be a natural.

Then I hope to hell they don't feed that winner into Portland State's seed (a very real possibility). I don't worry about our guys playing them again, it is just better if they don't take three Big Sky teams and force them down to one. The beauty of the playoffs is seeing new competition not replays of the conference games.
 
The BSC is fairly easy now after today. SUU auto bid, but will not be a top 8 seed. PSU at 9-2 with 2 FBS WINS will be a 7-8 seed. Griz in with win today and will host a game next week. SUU Will host a game next week, but no bye week. UND COULD get at large bid, probably IMO, and NAU is out.
