Sac got in on strength of schedule and the P12 win. I agree Davis is better than many the teams in the playoff field. After the AQs, there’s just not a lot of wiggle room for unranked 7-4 teams. I’m shocked UNI was snubbed- they are a media darling and usually a lock at 6-5….
Last season, Montana got the benefit of the doubt over Davis. I'm sure they would tell you they got screwed after having pounded Idaho into the turf at their dome. I can't imagine how the committee figured they were better than SacState. But it's not likely that either of them would get by SD in round two. So there's that.
