I get that EWU won the head to head game vs MSU but that's pretty surprising to me that EWU gets the 2 seed over MSU.

It boiled down to the head-to-head matchup. How can you not reward the team that beat the other on the road.

+1. I do think MSU is better than EWU, but EWU won, so you've gotta give it to them.

After yesterday, I'm predicting a short playoff run for the Cats. Not sour grapes, I wish them luck. However, I think they are going to need it.

If that's the case, explain how UNH got in after getting beat at home just yesterday by Towson, 64 - 35. I mean, just killed at home. The committee released a very hypocritical playoff bracket today.

My guess, 8-3 is better than 7-4

But 10-1 isn't better than 9-2? That's my point. If you give EWU the 2 seed, then Towson should be in over UNH. If you put UNH in, then MSU should be the 2 seed.

The committee has always had inconsistencies, but never such glaring inconsistency in the same year's playoff field as this time around.

You are comparing apple to oranges

you can not compare the EWU/MSU situation to the UNH/Towson situation...

Why not? It's almost exactly the same scenario.

One less win, but beat the other team in question at their place. Towson also had a much higher GPI and played a much more difficult schedule. That makes the UNH selection even more glaring as a mistake.

No it not. First, there is a bigger difference between 7 wins and 8 wins then there is between 9 wins and 10 wins. Next, the 9 win team not only has a win over the 10 win team, but they are also the AQ, have a win vs a FBS school and one of there losses are against a FBS school.

The 8 wins trump the head-to-head win with Towson only having 7 wins. Richmond probably has a bigger gripe than Towson.

Seriously. Towson just proved beyond any objective measure that they are a much better team than New Hampshire.

It's not even an argument. This was a huge miss by the committee. 8 wins over 7 wins does not trump the head to head in this case. Especially when it was just YESTERDAY and at UNH!

8 wins will always get in before 7 wins. Richmond would probably get in before Towson also.
