2 WEST sites totaled 26,408
3 CAA sites totaled 20,309
2 Mo Valley sites totaled 13,938
1 Southern site (Appy) totaled 13,712

Total attendance at 8 games: 74,367

Montana attendance = 26.2% of attendance
Montana attendance (19,489) almost equaled combined attendance of 4 non-seeded games (19,865)
Other 7 averaged 7,840 (average of 13,626 at four seeded, average of 4,946 at four non-seeded).

If ALL Montana tickets went at $25 per (I have no idea how many comps there were)

Saturday's gate in Missoula was $487,225

Because no other school has a "lowest" regular-season ticket price of $25 for non-students, nobody else's gate has a snowball's chance of creating as large a gate.

Little suprised at App's attendance, seems kinda low.

And what a friggin joke that schools like Villanova, Richmond, & SIU can only scrape out that many people, three pretty good football teams, and in important games!

Kind of interesting too how the western schools had the most combined, I'll bet if Weber would've hosted they would've had even more than CPSLO too.

Really I was shocked to see the Cal Poly game had 6,000+

Even in Ogden I know it woulda had well over 10,000, even though we didn't have a game over 9,000, nothing else was going on and Weber HAS NEVER HAD A HOME PLAYOFF GAME before.

Maybe our bid just sucked...

Those numbers around the nation sure were pathetic. It was shocking to see each box score.

Almighty App State crowd - ATTENDANCE: 13,712...thats it?
Good thing Villanova hosted a game - ATTENDANCE: 4,489
Very impressive Richmond, no wonder you hosted - ATTENDANCE: 2,994
SIU hosted New Hampshire for no reason - ATTENDANCE: 5,461

Maybe they should host a 16 team tournament in Missoula!!
UM game - ATTENDANCE: 19,489

#1 James Madison - ATTENDANCE: 12,826

Northern Iowa had one of the biggest crowds! - ATTENDANCE: 8,477

Cal Poly - ATTENDANCE: 6,919

Nice playoffs...Should gave WSU/UM/Cal Poly all a home game now...

Cal Poly doesn't have a fan base. Can't really understand why either? There's nothing else (sports) to draw fans elswhere and it's an easy drive from a lot bigger population centers than we have here in MT.

I agree your bid probably sucked.

See ya' Saturday

Considering there are hundreds of schools in areas the same size as Montana people's allegiances are different than what we have here in one entire state. I would even reason to believe that Appy Sts. attendance improves drastically when there are no other college football games going on in NC. Here we have UM and not much else...including Carroll.

Cal Poly put in a large bid for the first round game. They probably lost money on the game, due to the bid (unless their expenses are very low).

The playoff figures from round one look a lot like a weekend of full BSC conference play with the Griz and any other three teams at home.

They should eliminate the week off during the regular season and make this weekend the week off. Thanksgiving costs FCS a lot of money-move the playoff game up a week and give a week off before the 2nd round. This thing has to pay for itself or they won't have it.

Play a playoff game, then take a week off, then resume playoffs? Why not just have a first round bye for the seeds? The week off scenario is kind of awkward, IMO.

It's "rivalry" weekend.

Georgia vs GA Tech
NC State vs NC
VT vs VA

Not sure who SC Gamecocks had.

The east coast has better things to do than watch a 1-AA (yes, I said that) game. Still doesn't make it better, but hey, there has to be some kind of excuse.

Weber and CP should have never played in the 1st round. A team has to travel, whether it's 1000 miles or 2000 miles. It's not like you have to stay an extra night (more expense). BS if you axe me.

Just me .02, carry on.
