How was JJ under utilized? Other than the running factor...

That alone is a pretty big factor.

How about JJ along with the entire receiving team, especially the tight ends, by not running shorter routes with a quicker passing attack then just bombing it away or running play action so much. This could have helped the sometimes struggling O-line protect the QB better instead of leaving JJ running for his life most of the time.

Also, I understand the beast of a fullback and tight ends may specialize in blocking but get them the damn ball every now and again and a couple quick slant passes wouldn't hurt either.

Yes, this is another factor. We saw it work and work well on occasion so.....ummmmm..... well we did less of it.

Harper and Clay Pierson had a combined nine TD's. I'd say that's pretty damn good for the TE's. Jamal Wilson dropped all but one pass that was thrown to him this season. I just think folks are gonna have to accept Jamal is a one-dimensional fullback. He's a true BLOCKING back. He's damn good at it too. He's a beast, but that's what he does and more importantly, what he WANTS TO DO. Period. Gavin Hagfors is a very good pass catcher.

Nine TD's is good for the TE's, however, 17 rec for 169 yds and 9 rec for 109 yds each is not so good, neither is the TE's combined avg of roughly 2 rec for 25 yds a game. They could have been utilized in the passing game more is all I am saying and the Griz may have won their last game had they went with some quicker pass patterns instead of throwing deep with the wind so much.

Look at JJ's completion % compared to the other QB and it is so different because one was throwing shorter passes while the other was attempting homeruns frequently, grant it they were one on one open receivers but that doesn't do much good if he can't get the ball to them.

+1 1Griz...the short passing game was non-existent a lot of the year, and the TEs could have helped with that. Seemed like a bunch of times it would be 3 down and short from in the redzone, and I would see #46 trotting off the field. :?

Wilson caught 5 passes...just saying.
