Pioneer League Does Its Thing

Now, I know I've ragged on the PFL in the past -- but with reason, I feel.

So: What up with them? Again (in case you missed it), a team has declared itself out of the conference title race, and therefore out of a possible spot in the FCS playoffs. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfoot2/news/news.aspx?id=835919

Seems like for the last few years, one or two PFL teams have done this. The article says they did not do any NCAA no-no's -- it's something to do with League rules. Balancing those two must be a bitch!

My point: This POS conference still gets an automatic bid to the playoffs.

You nailed it.... the P5 conferences need to do their thing....leave, split, separate, divorce, annul (call it what you want) so the G5 and upper level FCS conferences can rid themselves of these red headed bastard step children and do their thing.

Conference; the Pioneer League is the local pro baseball rookie league. I'm headed down to work a Mustang game as we speak. Far more interesting than the lame Pioneer Football Conference.

Actually, it really is the Pioneer Football League (don't as me why) ... but it certainly is "lame." Later, I realized I should have been more clear with the thread title, but it was too late to edit it. Sigh.
