Do not purchase the 85mm F1.2 (over $1500) or the the 50mm F1.4 (over $300). Yes, they do have a higher max aperture, but they are not really meant for sports. They actually focus a tad bit slower than the lenses I mentioned above. They are designed to be more of a "portrait" lens.

Canon is coming out with a second version of the 85mm f/1l.2 lens that will have faster focusing speed. Should be out this month. But, price = $2,100, Not for everybody's pocket book.

I just read a preliminary test on the new version of the 85mm 1.2. Seems like it is just a little faster than the older version, but still slower than the cheaper 1.8...

PSU player had a bit to say after game was over. I do not think the coach was yelling just explaining. Jawing was term that was used as an immediate reaction. Ended with the traditional after game hand shake. 93-92 PSU PM me if you missed the original story about the extra-ciricular events.
