The thing that bugs me the most about the firings and how they were handled is that the university revamped its entire punishment system, taking the control out of the hands of the coaches, and yet the administration didn't even give Pflu and O'Day a chance to show they could redeem themselves in the new system.
More bad happened under Hauck than Pflu, and Hauck never got fired or even close to fired for it. Blame Dennison if you want, but it seems clear that these two men were fired specifically because of the JJ trial.
They won't be coming back, but I definitely feel they weren't given a fair chance.
