Wronghavgrizfan said:Uhhh I'm pretty sure I just said he was enrolled at UM. LMAO...But you may want to check your facts. Actually he was unanimously expelled by the honor court. He didn't receive one single "stay" vote. The explusion though, could not be en-acted once he was charged with a crime. I have no idea how that works, but that's what enabled him to attend classes this fall. The UM COULD very much enact that explusion once JJ's legal proceedings are over, and the way RE and Co. have been working things, it would not shock me in the least to see it happen. He would then still have an appeal, which he was in the process of doing right before Missoula Co. officially charged him. But the bottom line is, JJ was in fact set to be expelled from the UM.

Of course I meant because the admin and student court don't want him based on "a preponderance of the evidence" which is far different than "beyond a reasonable doubt' which is the basis of the legal court case. If he's acquitted in legal court for lack of evidence beyond a reasonable doubt, it does not have to mean he has to be acquitted by the preponderance of evidence with the student code of conduct. He could be expelled anyhow, but I believe as the trial proceeds, there will be a lot of UM admin dirty laundry that sees the light of day and they may not have so much leverage with JJ as they would like. It probably depends on whether they have balls enough to risk JJ's lawsuit. RE will be between a rock and a hard place. If JJ comes back, the student council is shown to have no clout and he again has the female faculty on his case; if they try to expell him, he will have to pay more legal defense and will incur even futher rebellion from Griz Nation. He asked for it. No doubt Main Hall will be rooting for conviction.havgrizfan said:While I'm not hanging the Griz' hopes on JJ being aquitted as I think that's way more of a long shot than people want to believe, I think Kem is completely wrong. He has attended every home game, he's been a huge supporter of Trent McKinney, he's enrolled at UM and he's basically told all his friends he has every intention of returning to the Griz if everything goes his way.
Now, if by not playing for Montana, Kem, you mean it's because the school will still expel him, that I might tend to agree with. But if you mean because he doesn't want to, no way.
